It was great there was a kitchen so you could store food and prepare meals. Having locks on the doors made me feel safe. It was very close to a subway station and there was good WiFi. The apartment is cleaned daily, which when you're sharing a bathroom with males is necessary. The cleaner who checks you in is very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, the listing does not make it clear that this is a shared accommodation where you rent a bedroom in the apartenent and share the communal areas - the kitchen and bathroom, with other guests. One of the nights I stayed, a guest checked in at one am, which woke me and the other guest staying in the second bedroom. This disrupted my sleep that night, especially as that person did not settle and messed about in the apartment for a couple of hours after he arrived. The communal areas stunk heavily of cigarette smoke, luckily the bedroom I stayed in didn't smell. The kitchen was lacking in utensils for cooking and in cutlery. There was some plastic cutlery, but even this was limited. The bed only had a thin blanket on it, making it a bit cold at some times during the night. It would have been nice to have something thicker or an extra blanket to put on. The owner or manager was difficult to get hold of when I arrived at the apartment at 8pm after my flight, even when I let him know ahead of time, what time I was arriving. Eventually I did get a hold of him and he quickly sent Jeff to check me in.

They were keep cleaning everyday, so the house was clean. It's very close to the laundry place and metro station. It's a reasonable price in NY.

The carpets were dirty and the stove didn't work so there was induction instead, but it was forever to heat up. The building smells so bad and dirty and constructions outside was very loud. There is no good big supermarket nearby and the area is not so great.

Availability and distance to Manhattan. Very close to bus, train and metro stations. Seperate rooms and fair comfortable beds. All facilities available and very friendly householder and contact person.

Rooms and outfitting are outdated and some broken items. Maintenance could use some extra attention and the bathroom ceiling and wall required repairs and new paint. Rooms and bathroom could be outfitted with extra clothes hooks, to hang off clothing or towels. Air conditioning units of my colleagues rooms were old fashioned types and making a lot of noise and had limited operation functions.

The place is great, especially if you are on the budget. First and foremost it is very clean, including common areas. As a person who had a bad experience with unclean rooms in NY, I was happy to see how well maintained this property is. Second, you will have all necessary things as a traveler: fridge, disposable and regular tableware, electric stove, shower with hot water, towel. Even the extra things are there like hair dryers, iron etc. Staff are also very caring, especially Jeff who is the most friendly and helping person. As for the location, you will have a laundry in the same building, a metro and bus stations nearby. What to wish more :)

Well, as other travelers mentioned, air conditioner in the room is somewhat loud but for me that was not a problem actually.
