Great outdoor space and the building next store with the playground area is great for kids!!

The hotel was light-filled, beautiful and clean! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

a $5 parking fee was an unpleasant surprise. We also had no climate control in our room. The fan worked, but we could not cool or heat our room. It was unpleasantly warm during the night. When the matter of a non-functioning thermostat was brought to the attention of the desk clerk, she said it would be noted. But offered no apology or compensation. Not good, considering what we paid for a night.

Ok sorry only four stars on overall because they started charging for parking. Other wise I really like this place the staff are great. They did take care of the parking issue but will have to look elsewhere next time and that makes me sad but I am spending other people’s money when I book. If you don’t mind paying for parking stay there. It great.

Unhappy with the new daily parking fee that you now get charged. They do not tell you about it up front. When i inquired about it at checkout, the clerk simply said that it is in the web page fine print! Seemed rather deceptive. Was not included in their website quote.

Great place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Felt safe.

We had appointments at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN. We chose Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Rochester because it was a few blocks from the Mayo campus that the appointments were at. There was a subway we could have walked in to Mayo, but that was being worked on until mid May 2024. The walk was busy, but very easy. The Residence Inn was neat and clean. We could park indoors for an additional fee, but felt that was worth it. The room was big, with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room area. We had hoped that the bedroom was a separate room, but it was part of the open space. That was hard to know from the pictures on the website. We should have asked when we made the reservation. The hotel was very quiet, but the street was somewhat noisy outside. Next time we would pick a room that did not overlook the street. One of the very best parts was the complimentary breakfast which was run by Cheryl. It was a breakfast that we really enjoyed. Hot items included eggs varying by the day, potatoes varying by the day, and meat items. All was very well prepared. There was even avocado halves and gluten free items which one of us needs and they were out in the open, you didn't have to hunt someone up and 'beg' for them. Cheryl went out of her way to make our experience great. On a day that we had a very early morning appointment, she opened up 30 minutes early just for us so we could eat before the appointment. All the staff was so positive and helpful, but Cheryl really did shine. We will return when we have future appointments.

We liked the fact that the property was in a perfect location for us to visit family and also go to the malls.

I liked everything about the property and the service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The only negative thing, and it was very minor is that the water tap in the shower would not turn off. I told the staff upon checking out and they said they'd have a maintenance person on it immediately. Breakfast, comfort, the entire visit was very nice. Thank you.
