Hilton Garden Inn Colorado Springs Downtown, Co

The entrance is all wonky. You have to go through the first floor, up the elevator to the second floor, and around the corner to get to the front desk. I wasn't crazy about that.

Food and location

Parking was awful. No spots. Very small parking spots and hard to go through garage in a truck. Our room was very noisy, couldn’t sleep from all the outside noise.

There is incredibly loud drilling at the entrance of the hotel - 9-5pm every day. It was horrible. They should not be allowed to have guests while this is going on - you can hear it in the entire building all day long. Also - not hot water or water pressure in the showers

The hotel itself is very nice. However the parking situation is not convenient. You need to unload your baggage from the street, leave your car and take the bags up one level to check in. Then you need to go back to your car and drive it to a bank parking garage and park on the second level and take steps back to street level to walk to the hotel. Repeat the process for check out. And of course the card key doesn't work to open the garage gate as stated, so you need to press the buzzer and wait for help. Next time I will choose a hotel that has parking on premises. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming. You can't find plates. Very few clean tables. Bagel toaster not working.

Paid to have my dog, but hotel had zero dog areas to walk them and potty them. Was told by hotel staff to use the median in the busy ass road in front of the hotel . Or use the dog park i miles away. If you can't support dogs, don't allow em. Restaurant is trying to kill people with the horrendously high amounts of salt on everything.... couldn't even eat the steaks. Pillows are too small, might as well be airplane pillows ... And nit water pressure at all ... took half hour to rinse. The soap off of me. I thought the hilten garden was supposed to be a step up from Hampton Inn, but it's not even in the same class.

This Hilton Garden Inn wins first on location, being walkable to downtown and all adjacent attractions. The additional $17/night for parking is not out of line with typical downtown residences. Here, more than ever, you want to make the effort to secure specific rooms: the views off the east side are quite unattractive, but the views west are fantastic, and only get better the higher your floor.
