We were unable to stay at the guesthouse. We checked in but didn't stay and left within hours of arrival. We had to get a taxi back to Pretoria at circa 730pm at significant cost. My mother who lives in Pretoria was offered the 'family room' which in fact had 'Private' on the door and we believe was actually for staff members. Comments on this room. (1) It was dusty. (2) When we tried to adjust the blind it fell down. (3) There was a key to unluck the outer door and an access card to unlock the bedroom within the room which was odd. (4) One of the showers didn't work. (5) No air conditioning (6) You couldn't access the TV channels. In summary it wasn't fit for purpose. My room was suite 6 which was better but the safe didn't work properly and the air conditioning didn't work. The biggest problem however was as follows. We left the hotel at circa 330pm to get some food away from the guest house. On our return at 630pm there were no staff whatsoever at the hotel, there also were no other guests. It didn't feel safe to stay at the hotel which gave rise to our decision to leave having already paid for two people to stay 4 nights.

Fine for me, but if you struggle with mobility, lots of stairs.

No staff, facilities not available, description of room is laughable.

Everything was great.

The staff were very friendly especially Irene.

1. Mattress was old and sagging in the middle. 2. Sheets had stains. 3. Gowns were yellow and hard. 4. Water disappeared whilst showering 5. Underplates in dining room were covered in dust. 6. Tomato sauce bottle had dried sauce around the edges.

Only the location has a great view, but that’s really the only good thing

The management is so bad. First of all, we waited at the gate for a long time with no one opening for us. My mom was even panicking. The phones were not going through—it was just bad. Then the electricity went out; we were in the dark and no one came to check if we were okay. We ended up going to a restaurant until around 22:00. We couldn’t bathe because the water was cold on the first night. On the second day, it was the same story with the electricity. The pool was dirty, and we had to ask for it to be cleaned before using it. Even the cushions by the pool had dust and bird droppings. They don’t have a bar, and there was only one breakfast option. I was so disappointed
