Fairfield Inn & Suites Hattiesburg / University

My room reserved w a king was not available on arrival. I was given a different room w 2 full beds instead. The tub was unclean ( I almost slipped on soap scum) The breakfast was good. Overall did not live up to its name. I won’t be back.

Last minute stay late at night and it had decent reviews so I booked a room.The girl that checked me in was sweet and friendly.The main problem was the room.none of the lights worked but the desk lamp and bathroom lights.It was late so we were like whatever.The ac was cold when we arrived but cut off during the night and so it was pretty warm in the room.The next morning I went to open the shade and it was broken so we couldn’t get it up so the room was dark,and when I was standing there I stepped into a massive wet spot,I’m sure the ac was leaking or something.It was soaked from the bed to the AC.I did inform the front desk of the ac and shade issue and the man apologized.We decided to grab breakfast before we left (8:15am) and there was no hot food out even tho there wasn’t many in the dining area.The ac also wasn’t working well in the check in/dining area/halls bc it was super hot.Just not to happy to spend that much $ for a dark,wet hotel room with no breakfast.The staff was nice tho.

Its a run down hotel. The AC was not working properly throughout the whole night. The bathroom sink cold water didn't work. It was constantly hot water that was coming out the sink. The tub was dirty and the room smelled bad. Luckily, me and my family was staying the night to get some sleep and thats it. I would not recommend this hotel to families!

I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and ALWAYS love Fairfield Inns. This hotel was not up to any standards. I would have left except for it being late in the day already. The halls and stairwells were not very clean, ice machines on 2nd & 3rd floors broken with no signs indicating where to go. One Exit door to outside was broken, the other was propped up with a brick. The coffee pot in room had dust on it, no bar soap in the bathroom (had to use the shower dispenser). Then, in the morning, there were no eggs, milk or fruit! The staff was very apologetic for the limited breakfast items; "food truck did not deliver."

Do not stay here. First room had not been cleaned. Second room ac leaked causing puddle on floor and bedside lamps- 1 no bulb and the other was like a strobe light. Blinds would not open

I am highly disappointed and would NOT recommend staying here. My family and I booked here on a whim, and we were very disappointed. Everything seems fine when you first walk into the room, but upon further inspection, everything was either unclean, sticky, or dirty. Trust when I say we will not be staying here again.
