Seaside at Anna Maria Island Inn

We were welcomed like we their best friends that came for a visit! Jenny went out of her way to ensure we were satisfied and Anthony did the same. They couldn't do enough for us and we were just walk ins! Kudos to Nicole also on the evening shift for killing us with kindness! We will definitely be back!!!

Arrived on March 2 for a 3 night stay and were put in a small room across the highway from the beach. No closet in room so we were very cramped with our luggage spread out. We had booked it in September and total cost was $2066 with tax so cost per night was $688. Next day we complained and were moved to a nice beach walkout with their apologies but no rebate on the first night in basically a Motel 6 room where the only towel rack in the tiny bathroom fell to the floor when I touched it. Even in the nice room the sliding door lock was broken and a large dowel the size of a baseball bat laid in the track offered security. We feel the price we paid didn't allow for any errors on their part.

Visited January 2019. Wife and I were looking for a get away for long weekend. Focused on siesta keys but thankfully landed in Bradenton Beach at the Seaside resort. Checked in to find out it’s under new ownership. Amelia island resorts bought it and added to their many properties in the immediate area. So be careful it’s now ami seaside inn. The penthouse was under 200 per night. Basically a living room dining room kitchen and master bedroom with the only bathroom. Two pullouts in living room. Two sliders looking west and south. A shared patio deck with three other second floor units. Great views. Near everything. One disappoint, we did not get to smokehouse 0.4 mi away. Short drives to Publix, AMI, Bradenton Beach and Bradenton. Beach was 10 steps from us. Heated small pool. Just right. They do not have maid service everyday must need to ask if need anything. Let’s just say we had a great time. See my other restaurant posts for the week. Believe me tops siesta key.

It was pure pleasure to stay at Anna Maria Island Inn last week. It was our first time in the Island and we were impressed with the tranquility and great vibes of the whole island. Our accommodation was the Anna Maria Island Inn "Tropic Isle" (pool view), across the street from the ocean side. Upon arrival the room was ready and it was super clean and fresh. The kitchenette had enough cooking equipment, the refrigerator was clean. There were sufficient bath and beach towels and beach to last us the whole 5 days. The ambiance was awesome and tranquil at night. The office personnel was available for questions, the maids were also available and asked us if we needed anything. It was really a pleasurable stay. Thank you guys for making this 5 days a memorable experience. I give you a 10 stars for rating. We will see you in September again.

Anna Maria Island is our happy place. We visit AMI at least once a year. All of the stress and craziness melt away when we get to AMI. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. It’s like Senior Spring Break. It’s fun but not wild and crazy. Just knowing we are going to AMI again in a few months helps us make it through until we go again.

Perhaps the biggest issue with the Sea Breeze property and maybe all of the Anna Maria Island Inn properties is that no one cares if there are any problems. The worst issue was that we were GIVEN the NEIGHBOR'S ROOM NUMBER AND CODE at check-in and walked right in on an occupied room!!! Anything could have happened. The person who was checking people in when we called to say what happened, kept saying she didn't do it and offered no apology, explanation, nothing. No one cared. HUGE mistake. We called back to report what had happened (not okay, how to prevent it from happening to someone else, etc.) and were told the manager only comes in a couple of times a week and it took 4 days to talk to anyone who seemed to even care. The Good: -It is right on the beach and the water is steps away -There are lounge chairs to use and a few tables -The kitchen is updated and has everything you need -Laundry in unit The Bad: -Crazy LOUD because it is RIGHT ON the main street and constant traffic -Many things are broken in the unit (shades, fire alarm, bathroom holders, drawers handles) -The fire alarm went off with no smoke, someone had to come and take it off wall, and was not replaced when we left (hopefully is now) -Bathrooms were disgusting - broken items, mold, leftover paint color from the poor paint job, broken tp holder -Outdoor area is not kept up - when we arrived food wrappers and bottles were on the patio - no one came to clean for 3 days -If you are on the lower floor, constant noise above - like buffalo on your head We had high expectations and really enjoyed the beach and our neighbors were lovely, but walking in on them was not. No one cares what's happening on these properties. They know they'll rent because of location and charge like it's a luxury resort. It is not. There are better properties to be had on Anna Maria Island.

We have stayed on AMI visiting from the UK for over 20 years and this visit was the most expensive and the most disappointing. We’ve usually booked 4 bedroom villas with a pool for less than we paid for this stay . Yes the location is wonderful but please look elsewhere as the units here are very tired. We found so many faults that it was not worth reporting everything. I honestly can’t believe they can charge what they do for such below basic accommodation. We actually left a day early as the unit was so poor which we’ve never had to do before. The owners should be ashamed of themselves

We have stayed in the Sea Breeze units for years and loved it. This year the new owners doubled the nightly rate from last year and it is triple what it was just 3 years ago with no improvements to the property. We always dealt with the “quirks” in years past because the rate was reasonable. These new rates are robbery and the units have gone down hill. The charcoal grills are horrible and need replaced, the gas grill had no propane, the bathtub clogged after one shower, most of the windows don’t lock which is a safety hazard. One night it rained and we had water pouring in the front window splashing us while we tried to watch a movie in the living room. The traffic on Gulf Drive is SO loud in the unit, the bedrooms are on the road side and the noise is constant. The service is terrible too. We were texted the wrong check in code, there is only one cleaning person for too many units, we could never get our room cleaned the entire 3 night stay, when staying at the beach you need your room cleaned. Again, all these “quirks” you could deal with at the previous rate, if they want to charge these rates they need to provide that level of stay and service. The per night rate is higher than the Ritz in Aruba. It’s really sad because we used to love staying here, never agin.

DONT EVER STAY AT ANNA MARIA ISLAND INN!!! THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME FOR MY TRIP $1.2k. I am unable to go because my mother is terminally ill and they don’t care and are KEEPING my money for a trip I cannot go on. DISGUSTING!
