"Unforgettable Ryokan staying"

An absolutely amazing 2-day ryokan stay! We booked a traditional tatami room with a private bath. The entire staff from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant and onsen—was incredibly warm and welcoming. Our room was spectacularly clean, and the food was a total 10/10 (both the breakfast and the traditional Kaiseki dinner). They even surprised us with a late-night supper that was incredibly delicious! Loving the public onsen and private bath made this trip unforgettable. Highly recommended to everyone.

This was a fairly large hotel complex, but at the same time it didn't feel too big. The room was large and spacious - and had all the amenities. The beds were large and very comfortable. The bath tub on the verandah was a real treat - perfect after a hard day being a tourist... the private onsens were magical and the wait to get one of the three available wasn't very long. Dinner and breakfast were included in our accommodation package. The food - variety, quality and quantity - was excellent. Our accommodation was very close to Gora station so we could get to where we wanted to get to very easily. We were also just a short walk from the Hakone Open-Air Museum which was just a brilliant place. To anyone going to Hakone we thoroughly recommend staying here for a couple of nights at least - treat yourself!!! :)

The hotel is showing its age and needs a bit of a refurbishment.

"Wonderful traditional Japanese hotel"

Wonderful traditional Japanese hotel experience with dinner and breakfast. Wear yukatas all over hotel (also for meals) and take advantage of the onsens. Lovely shower with outdoor view and soaking tub on balcony. Many Japanese families there. Great experience!

A little hard to access for one night but worth it nonetheless.

Hermosa propiedad.

Nadie se hizo entender en otro idioma que no sea japonés. El costo en relación a otros hospedajes en otros lugares que tuvimos. El desayuno que no brindaba opciones que no sean tan japonesas.

Die Anlage an sich, die Nähe zum Bahnhof und der Natur

Das Personal im Hotel ignoriert teilweise die ausländischen Gäste oder läuft einfach davon, wenn man Fragen hat, da sie mit Englisch nicht weiterkommen oder nur Bruchhaft sprechen. Andersherum haben wir auch versucht, uns mit Händen und Füßen zu verständigen.
