"The local is great but it’s not worth the price"

It is very close to the gora station which means you are well placed for any activity you might like to pursue.

The room was a bit worn down even though the hotel is from 2006. It’s half board but there is no coffee for breakfast, you have to get it yourself in a little room that serves as a cafeteria.

Härlig och stämningsfull känsla på hela området. Fina onsen-faciliteter med både privat onsen man kunde använda fritt, med god tillgänglighet, samt den gemensamma anläggningen med flera olika bad och bastu, uppdelad avdelning för herrar och damer. Bra tillgång på olika snacks som serverades utöver den fantastiska middagen och frukosten. Extra kul att man själv får välja färg och mönster på sin yukata som används.

"Okay place, a bit outdated facilities"

Nice foresty area

We didn't have the chance to use some facilities, like the private bath area because it was too crowded. no reservation system either so it was uncomfortable to just wait and be on the hunt others to leave .Guests did not respect suggested time to use facilities.

"Magical onsen experience"

The onsen was amazing, I absolutely loved the experience staying here. The facilities were amazing and also so easy to visit mount hakone. The breakfast and dinner were great but they were massive. Be prepared to not be able to finish everything

It was difficult to figure out how to leave to get the bullet train to Kyoto. We were told to get a bus but the instructions from the staff were unclear. I would recommend just using the train in and out of Gora.

The ryokan was beautiful! The breakfast was so beautifully presented as well with so many variety, and all the staff were really kind and polite. The place was so peaceful, my partner and I ended up sleeping most of our stay because it truly was that relaxing, safe, and comfortable.
