The location right on a beach in town is the main attraction. Lounge chairs and umbrella are provided free of charge for guests. Lunch is simple but tasty.

The stairs! Many stairs in a house over 100 years old so certainly not up to code. Wooden without carpet or runners . Impossible for anyone with any orthopedic issues.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay here was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I've had and I feel obligated to warn others. Starting with safety — and there are multiple concerns worth flagging. The railing on the third floor was visibly unstable and shaking. More alarming, the ceiling above the coffee shop at the front entrance was actively leaking. Management's solution was to place clear plastic buckets on the floor in what is one of the busiest areas of the hotel. During my stay I watched several guests trip over them and barely catch themselves. A leaking ceiling in a high-traffic area with near-invisible trip hazards is not a minor inconvenience — it's an accident waiting to happen. The rooms were cramped and underwhelming for the price. But the bigger issue was the service culture, which starts at the top. On multiple occasions I witnessed the manager loudly cursing and berating staff at the front desk in front of guests. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and frankly unacceptable. The staff themselves seemed overwhelmed and undertrained, which is hardly surprising given the environment they're working in. The restaurant refused to serve hot drinks at 6pm — I was soaked from the rain outside and simply wanted a cup of tea. No explanation, just a flat refusal. Speaking of rain: when I asked the front desk if they had an umbrella I could borrow, I was told they didn't. When I expressed surprise, they suddenly produced several from upstairs within minutes. So they had umbrellas — they just didn't bother to offer one. This hotel has serious issues with management, safety, and basic hospitality. I would not return and cannot recommend it.

Did not know the breakfast restaurant was closed when I booked. It opened the morning we checked out and was very good. Did not know bar/restaurant was closed for the dates we booked also. Easy walk from ferry with luggage. Can walk to many places including nice 1 mile walk to restaurants over on the bay.

Lack of information regarding food service closures.

The food was excellent with wonderful sea breezes and views from the outdoor deck. We actually had an issue with our room but Daniel graciously handled it. Fantastic customer service and friendly and accommodating staff.

Lobby decor and overall esthetic

Housekeeping poor - room not vacuumed, no soap, had to request cleaning 3x. Room was tiny despite “upgrade,” not comfortable, one nightstand, no outlets, stained linens, peeling paint. Third floor - no help offered with luggage. Non existent communication - no response to texts, voicemail full. Dining/drinks badly organized - no table service, food/cocktails ended at 7 pm.
