Altitude Madarao

All aussie staff that were extremely friendly and obliging. Nothing was too difficult for them, except laughing politely at my incessant barrage of dad jokes.

The staff were wonderful. Nothing was too difficult, great communication and easy to get shuttle from the lodge to the restaurants or the main hotel or slopes. You can ski or snowboard from the lodge very convenient

Only one pillow and not enough towels for the duration of our stay. Could have been cleaner.

Great breakfast with a changing hot option each day. Perfect location to ski to/from the end of the road with only a 50m walk maximum. Impressive size family rooms- biggest we’ve had in Japan. 2 single beds, a couch, a queen in the main area and PLENTY of storage. The kitchenette/fridge allows more self sufficiency. The staff were lovely and catered for our family with time appropriate drop offs and pick ups that didn’t fit with their current schedule. We had translation issues with the heater and when we bought it up it was resolved almost instantly.

The property needs a bit of work as a whole- drainage etc, but nothing that made a negative impact on our experience. Not about the property- just so future guests know, as of this time, there is no nappies, baby formula or ATM available on the mountain. Make sure you stock up in Madarao.

Super lovely staff, very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely come back again. Molly, Ben, Tim and Finn were great and so flexible with pickups when we messed up our dinner bookings. They went out of their way to help. Best hosts ever! Great vibe and other guests were lovely too. Good breakfat variety.

Would have like to get the room/bathroom tidied once in a while and toilet paper restocked.

Tim, Finn, benn and Molly are incredible staff they deserve all the respect given they know how to run a lodge in a wholesome and respectful manner they made us feel at home while having an awesome time, honestly they need a raise for how well they run that lodge. It was honestly sad to leave them.

O Hotel em si, e muito aconchegante, ambiente bem familiar, limpo, acolhedor e lindo. O cafe da manha e sensacional, bem ocidental, porem, delicioso, com varias opcoes de paes e bebidas. A proprietaria do hotel que nos atendeu, extremamente atenciosa, simpatica, prestativa e sorridente, alem dos demais funcionarios serem bem simpaticos tambem. Apesar de ser em Nagano, me senti num pais europeu, com pessoas lindas, a vila onde esta o hotel e muito bonita, parece outro pais.

Nao e que nao gostei, mas bem o dia que me hospedei o hotel estava com problema na bomba de agua, e o chuveiro estava saindo bem pouca agua e por esse motivo nao esquentava muito, e como estava bem frio ,sofremos um pouco com o banho. Alem disso, a cortina da banheiro estava com mal cheiro pois estava com um pouco de limbo e bolor, mas nada assustador. Gostaria de mais atencao a esse unico detalhe.

Staff were amazing, great value for money and great location. Service was awesome. Building was dated and could do with some extra cleaning. Had a great stay and would come back.
