Fairfield Inn Tuscaloosa

When we tried to check in we were told they could not give us the requested and paid for king bed room but that they could put us in a room with double beds. The front desk person did call the other Marriott locations and found us a king bed. Very frustrating after a long trip

Location off main hwy

no ice machine on 2nd floor, bed was uncomfortable on mattress kept sliding off the foundation( down there for surgery) ended up going to another hotel for our last 2 nights in tuscaloosa. Also did not get credited on my marriot account for this stay. My mother asked what time breakfast started and the lady pointed to the wall and said " it says it right there"

Do not stay here if at all possible! We were given a room without a working TV. When I called the front desk about it, LeeLee (sp?) told me “maybe” none of the TV’s were working due to weather. When I asked if she could check, she said she would change my room. I asked her if someone would please check whether TV was working in another room before we moved rooms. She left me on hold for about 15 minutes and then gave me another room number (no mention on making sure TV was working in new room). I told her I did not appreciate being left on hold so long, and she HUNG UP ON ME! After repeated attempts to reach the hotel manager about this after our stay and leaving messages, I never received a call back from Luke Woodland. The one time I was told he was even there, I was told he was on a zoom call. I never heard back. Hotel staff and management are in the hospitality business. Pretty pathetic. Zero stars.

The room was not available as advertised, they changed my room and added a charge. The breakfast was too late to be useful. The room smelled awful, I really should have demanded a different room but I was so exhausted I decided to just put up with it.

The bed was horrible!! They need to upgrade the mattress. The hotel looks nice on the outside but the inside doesn’t look like other Marriott Hotels I stayed at.

The manager and all staff made this the best experience. I stayed in the same hotel in a different city the night before and it was the worse experience I ever had. So I was glad I gave it another shot.

This was the worst hotel ever. Room had bleach all over the bathroom and ruin my toddlers shirts when they tried to wash there has. The room had ants everywhere and I stayed one night because I drove over 11hrs and was tired.
