TRH Mijas

This was our 2nd time here and we're not really disappointed. The hotel staff are fantastic, very helpful. The rooms whilst being a bit dated are always clean with a clean comfortable bed. Breakfast is great with a vast range to suit everyone's taste. We do love hotel and the ambience it creates and will definitely return. The only down side for us was the sunbeds. We noticed this year that more people were reserving them when really there is no need. There are plenty but I must say may need replacing as their firm structure was now sagging and some were fraying. It would be great if mattresses for the sunbeds were available. As many of the guests are senior, us included, they would be more comfortable and gentler on our ageing bones. We would be willing to pay , as we are sure so would others, a small daily fee if these were introduced . And as for the area to be 'policed' by a member of staff so you didn't bring drink or food that had been purchased outside the hotel. This was different than last year. Maybe if the hotels prices on food and drink matched the outside then this wouldn't happen and the guests would recognise this and hotel would sell more.

A fabulous stay at this lovely traditional hotel. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful and the whole place so clean. As others have said the rooms are dated but the bed was very comfortable (the most important thing). AC was available despite the Jet 2 information saying it isn’t until 21st June. Our room was on the front with a fantastic view and we were only disturbed by rowdy drunken noise on one night. Absolutely excellent breakfast buffet with everything we could possibly have wanted and more (coffee wasn’t the best though). Great poolside food. We didn’t eat in the evening at the hotel due to the reviews but there are so many wonderful places to eat very nearby that we were spoilt for choice. We never go back to the same place but will absolutely return here at some point! Thankyou 😃

Staff are very good but sadly the hotel itself needs renovating in most areas ! Buffet breakfast was not the best, and sadly there was no room service. We upgraded to a superior room as the first one we were given was shocking, especially the dark brown water that was coming out the taps in the bathroom, rooms were quite small and certainly not the best. The other holiday makers who were there must have been wearing hobnailed boots as the noise of a night was awful ! Although Mijas is absolutely beautiful I'd probably look for an apartment should we stay again.

This Hotel is beautiful, traditional Spanish hotel with an edge over others. Staff from reception to cleaning to management are really friendly and helpful. It's nice to see that the staff remain and have continued employment with the hotel over past years. Says alot about the management and set up. Facilities are perfect, you want for nothing, Pool is perfect. The lunches served are great and good value. An advantage is how close to Mijas Pueblo this hotel is. Don't hesitate to book this place.

Location, good breakfast, comfortable room with plenty of storage

Decor was a little tired. My room was directly under the bar and was very noisy on my first night, as the bar had entertainment on and was quite busy, so loud music and very loud, continuous scraping of heavy chairs across the tiled floor from early evening to after midnight.

Love the hotel, staff amazing

I lovely hotel in the beautiful village of Mijas Pueblo. The hotel is located on the edge of the central area of Mijas but within easy walking distance to amenities. The hotel is clean and well appointed with the staff being very helpful and approachable. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis with ours having a nice view of the village and the mountains that back onto it from the patio. We stayed on a B & B basis and found the buffet breakfast to be varied and plentiful. However, if required, pizzas can be ordered at the bar for lunch or dinner time with the latter having a lovely view over the coast and towards North Africa. If a trip is planned for the coast there is a bus stop within 100 metres with frequest services to places such as Fuengirola and Benalmadena and the cost is very cheap.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful hotel just a 5 minute walk from the town. The reception staff are very helpful and there are lots of fresh flowers around the hotel. We paid the hotel directly for an upgrade as we wanted a balcony to sit out on in the evenings and with Jet 2 we would have only had a juliette-type balcony. Our room was very clean and we had fresh towels daily. The beds were very comfortable and the curtains shut out the light very well. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and a lovely egg chef too. The lovely pool to cool off in was very refreshing and there is also a nice pool bar. We had lunch there one day and it was very good. The staff are all friendly and hard working. It’s a great location for Mijas Pueblo and we found plenty to do - the Tourist Office is a good place to start! We couldn’t fault our stay at TRH Mijas and I’m sure we will return! Thank you!
