"Brilliant old fashioned gem"

Beautiful location, the hotel sits in extensive grounds and has breathtaking views down to the coast in Fuengirola. It is very traditional old Spanish. Nothing ultra modern about it but it oozes charm in bucket loads. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a little dated but again perfectly adequate for our needs. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning was great at no extra chsrge. Maid serviced the room daily. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety brilliant omelettes made to order. We didn’t have evening meal option. Really no need to get up at dawn to reserve sunbeds as there are more than enough to go round. I have no hesitation in recommending and it was extraent value for money.

"Beautiful hotel in lovely setting"

It's a beautiful hotel in gorgeous grounds and just a short walk to the village itself. An ideal location beautifully maintained. Staff were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I struggled a bit food wise as I'm a vegetarian and options were very limited although there was always a vegetarian option. Would I stay thete again? Most definitely!

"Lovely hotel although a little dated , fabulous location"

The location and pool area Although I’m not sure why food stopped at 4pm

Found some of the reception staff quite dismissive and patronising when i had some concerns over my safety as a solo woman traveller

"Cannot wait to come back!!"

The location, on the edge of the beautiful mountain village of Mijas. The views. Oh the views! The pool area is great, the food at the beach bar is excellent and good value. The staff are lovely. The hotel is unique, not high end, but for me that is part of its charm. It feels classy but not pretentious. It’s spotlessly clean but lived in. The room decor is homely and fresh. I loved it!

There isn’t anything I don’t like but if I’m pushed I’d say the food in the restaurant. Breakfast was decent, typical hotel buffet type but our friends who had booked half board didn’t enjoy the evening meals. We were B&B so enjoyed amazing meals in Mijas of an evening.
