The Omnia

The staff and management were terrific. They are very kind, helpful, professional, courteous and personable. After staying the one night (which I was fortunate to book due to a cancellation) we returned the following two evenings for after dinner drinks because we are so fond of the location and staff. Our son joined us and he wanted to come by as well. This was my return visit (last visit 2011, and my son’s second visit since 2014). We would have loved staying the nights there with our son but we were not able to schedule our vacation till after your hotel was fully booked, with the exception of the one night). The breakfast was wonderful and delicious. The hot chocolate is the best I’ve ever had! We had a wonderful visit at your hotel and hope that we are able to get back to Zermatt again and stay at the Omnia. This time during the winter. Thank you, L Walker

Amazing mountainside hotel in the heart of Zermatt it is close to the funicular and the Matterhorn Express. The atmosphere is very much modern but with a little bit of ski chalet. The rooms are also very spacious and have great bedding and area. It is a little expensive but the value is great for the price and the hotel has amazing extra amenities. The hotel is very clean and is almost pristene. It is quite quiet except in the lobby at peak hours but if you are skiing you don't need to worry. The staff is very nice and helpful and are also always there for you. Also there are some hotel features like a spa, pool, hot tub, restaurant, ski lockers and a chauffeur to load bags into a car when you first get there.

The hotel's striking design, built into the rock with a James Bond-esque entrance, making you feel like you’re in a movie . David and I love the stay .

Everything was amazing - the view, restaurant, cleanliness, location. Stuff were incredible welcoming! Atmosphere was so relaxing. Exceptional stay!

I can't even begin to express how amazing of a stay we had at The Omnia in Zermatt. It's almost a month since our visit and there has yet to be a single day where I don't reminisce about our stay at The Omnia. Upon arrival, my husband and I were picked up from the train station and greeted by the kindest bell man. He was our first interaction with any of the staff from the hotel and he was a true example of how EVERY SINGLE staff member was from the resort. Warm, kind, helpful, and accommodating! Once at the hotel, we were surprised with a room upgrade and I can't even begin to explain the view! Double fire places, sauna, wooden bath tub, the list goes on. The room was absolutely incredible! Torben personally brought us to the room and made sure everything was to our liking. He continued to make himself available to us throughout our stay to help in any way. The front desk staff, restaurant staff, restaurant manager, room service staff, again EVERYONE went above and beyond. I have never had an experience like this before and quite franklily I don't know if I ever will again unless I return to The Omnia. If I could return tomorrow, I would! If you're contemplating staying here pull the trigger and book it ASAP.

We stayed 7 nights at The Omnia in early December. We go each year in early December. The reasons we keep going back: the people who work there; the unique and special atmosphere and vibe at the hotel; the design of the hotel; the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel; the breakfasts and dinners (we had lunches up in the mountains!) which most certainly deserve at least one Michelin star (each); the view overlooking the magical village of Zermatt; the spa and pool which we use everyday after the day's activities; the attention to detail by each and every person who works there; the can-do attitude by everyone in the reception, kitchen, housekeeping and management; the value; the impeccable service; and the positive, happy and uplifting experience the staff and hotel deliver each day. The Omnia is reliable - year in and year out - for each of these attributes and even more. In a world where the costs of things are not going down, reliability becomes even more important and The Omnia just keeps delivering year in and year out in every way. Zermatt is full of activities - we are very active when there. Yet, we arrive home fully recharged, thanks to The Omnia.

My wife and I stayed at the Omnia for our honeymoon and it was truly the best hotel experience we've ever had. When we arrived at the train station, the porter was ready to meet us and give an extremely nice welcome and tour around Zermatt in the cutest electric buggy. The location of the hotel is stunning, being up the hill and easily accessible while also providing beautiful views of the town below. The hotel staff - including Christian, Anna, Torben, and Cedric - were so unbelievably friendly and welcoming and made us feel like royalty throughout our stay. We had dinner at the Omnia restaurant, which was an incredible experience filled with great food, wine, and an education of how each dish came together - including some input from Chef Andre himself. The breakfasts each day are also 5-star breakfasts whether you simply have the buffet or order some items ala carte (the crepes and eggs benedict were unbelievable). We booked a lunch at Chez Vronny on the mountain during our stay, and the hotel provided us feedback on how to best get there and even provided us with complimentary spikes to wear for the hike to the restaurant which were life savers! The spa at the hotel is second to none including the various steam rooms and saunas, each with their own specific flair and relaxing vibe. The rooms are exquisite and have phenomenal views of the lively village from up the hill, and the cleaning staff was polite, thorough, and overwhelmingly friendly. I personally also loved the decanter of whiskey they provide (and refill throughout your stay) as an extra perk! Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better relaxing and elegant stay than what the Omnia provided. While it's certainly a pricier hotel, the cost is certainly worth it and we hope to stay there again in the future!

The hotel is very beautiful, and many of the staff are extremely friendly. The room was clean, stylish, and had a stunning view. The elderly driver who picked us up and dropped us off at the train station was especially kind and lovely — we truly appreciated his service.

However, there was one incident in the evening that made us feel uncomfortable. Late at night, a staff member knocked on our door to deliver complimentary snacks. When we asked, “Who’s that?”, there was no response, but the knocking continued, and the staff member then used a key to open the door. This was quite frightening for us. When the door was opened, both of us were clearly startled. The staff member later mentioned that if we did not wish to be disturbed, we should hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign. While we understand this policy, we believe it would have been more appropriate for the staff member to identify themselves first, so we could feel safe opening the door. In addition, our balcony, despite having a beautiful view, was directly connected to a shared balcony that could be accessed by others, which made us feel a lack of privacy. Improving these aspects would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
