Leones de Alba Hotel Boutique

We came for a girl's trip, and we LOVED this hotel! It's a boutique hotel, so it has only a few rooms, which allows the staff to better know and meet the needs of their guests. The hotel is not well-marked, but all Uber drivers know how to get to it. The doors that welcome you are beautiful; the doormen open when you use the lion knocker. Juan greeted us and got us checked in easily. The room had air conditioning, which was a HUGE relief. We chose the welcome package (small charge to add) with fresh flowers, fruit, and bubbly; they were on the bed as we came in. It was incredibly clean and plenty of space for the two of us. The shower was large and got nice and hot after a few minutes. The beds were more firm, which I prefer, and the pillows were very comfortable. Regarding location, walking anywhere within the walls was easy; there were lots of restaurant choices nearby, and we always felt safe. As if that were not enough, the breakfast included was DELICIOUS. Beyker was so kind and friendly, and he remembered the little things like how my friend and I liked our eggs. There was fresh fruit and juice each morning. It was nice to have it brought out and not have to order from a menu. One thing is the pool is not like what we imagine as a pool in the USA; they were more like the size of a hot tub (if that's important to you). We would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

This elegant and sophisticated hotel is nestled in the heart of the walled city. It's close to everything from shopping and restaurants to bars a d tourist attractions. The rooms are beautiful and tge beds and pillows were so comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious! The staff are friendly and provide superior customer service! Special thanks to Pablo, Juan and Beyker for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable and special!! We would highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Cartagena!

Very nice and walkable to every aspect

I cannot rave enough about this hotel. The staff is absolutely incredible. They are so attentive and strive to make sure your stay is the best. You are graded with a welcome drink and you get a delicious breakfast every morning. It’s not the typical continental breakfast. You’re served with delicious fresh fruit, bread with fresh jam, eggs, major way along with traditional Colombian empanadas. Not only is the staff incredible but the location is as well. I felt completely safe staying here and will only stay here when I return back to Cartagena.

The property is located in a prime place, easy to walk to all touristics areas, the staff is great. However, facilities are not the best, the pool area is not atractive to visit, the finishes in the rooms are a little behind expectations ( inside closets). But the bed is super comfortable.

My experience was beyond met while staying at Leones De Alba! The breakfast, customer service and location was perfect. We definitely will be back.

Wonderful staff !!! Great location. Hotel is cute. Breakfast is a cooked breakfast but very basic. Room was cleaned but could use better maintenance. Easy to Walk around, Starbucks is nearby for people like me that drink ice tea

We were booked to stay at Casa de Alba, the sister hotel to Leones de Alba but the night before our trip I was told they were switching us due to a water main break. Needless to say I was disappointed but I was assured it was the same look and quality I was promised an upgraded suite but when I arrived the room they showed me was among their smallest. When I saw the corner suite was unoccupied I asked for that instead and they sheepishly agreed. The hotel is very lovely to look at but the many flights of stairs may be difficult for some people to use comfortably. The higher up you go the harder it is to traverse them. The room itself was lovely and large. Really nice bathroom and the balcony was a plus for me however it faces a very busy street where noises can be heard well into the night. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. Especially Carlos who made every effort to help us with planning day trips and restaurants. The biggest disappointment is the breakfast. Same menu every day and not very good at all. The outdoor pool is up those treacherous steps but is lovely when you get there. Location is great.
