Beautiful intimate hotel, very quiet. The staffs are super nice and helpful. Juan one of the receptionist went above and beyond for us. He makes reservations for our dinners and party bus. Bailey the server was awesome and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Ideal location, in walking distance of everything. Will definitely recommend

Beautiful and quiet little hidden boutique hotel in Cartagena that is central but also away from the evening mayhem so it is not crazy loud in the evenings. Great and friendly staff and the morning breakfast was exceptional!

i stayed at Leones de Alba with my mom and had the best time! the staff is so kind, the hotel is beautiful, and the daily breakfast is delicious. I will miss the fresh passion fruit and lulo juice so much!

We recently stayed at Leones De Alba for a 50th birthday celebration. My friend and I were the wives of the celebrants. Our group of 17 guests had an amazing time, thanks in large part to the exceptional staff at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome we received. Transportation was arranged from the airport for all guests, and mojitos were at the door. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They were always available to answer our questions and recommended amazing things to do in the area, like a day trip to Palenque, a food tour, Getsemani and Bora Bora Beach Club (to mention a few). Juan, in particular, was a huge help in organizing our excursions and transportation to the excursions. He knew the area and ensured we had everything we needed for a fun and safe outing. The Chef at Leones De Alba also deserves a special shoutout for the delicious meals he prepared for us every day. We looked forward to each meal and were never disappointed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Leones De Alba and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cartagena. The staff truly made our trip unforgettable, and we can't thank them enough for their exceptional service. We will definitely be back!

I booked my stay at Leones de Alba via booking.com. I watched several Tik Tok videos to get another perspective of the hotel. The hotel is boutique. The staff is super friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Juan Pablo was the concierge who assisted me in making reservations at restaurants and made recommendations for tours. He was very attentive and always got back to me within a reasonable amount of time. Guillermo was the front desk receptionist who helped me with my bags when I arrived. He gave me a tour of the property and was very helpful. Beyker attended to me when I first arrived. He was the server who made sure everything was good with my breakfast order. He was very hospitable. Jaír is “the man”! He hooked up my mojitos and made sure it taste good. I’ve never had a mojito like his. He also acted as a photographer for me. He took some amazing pictures of me. It’s so important to capture the moment and he allowed me to do so. Armando is very sweet. He is very personable and I left with a new friend. He helped me with restaurant recommendations and had good conversation. Overall my stay was nice. The rooms were different than what I’m used to but not bad. There wasn’t a phone in the room to call the receptionist. However, I was right across the receptionist so I could walk over. Drinks are charged in USD instead of pesos. For example, 2 mojitos cost me $35 plus tip. You can catch an Uber instead of paying for car service from the hotel. The Uber ride from the airport to the hotel is approximately $10 vs paying the hotel $30 USD plus tip one way. Uber is the way to go. Make sure to break down larger denominations because nobody has change around here. I ended overtipping because nobody had change. I wanted to tip 200000 pesos but nobody could break 500000 pesos. I recommend getting money from ATM machine at airport then going to a store or local pharmacy and making a small purchase yo get change.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Leonés de Alba. Armando and all of the staff were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. They always greeted us with a smile. The location was perfect and our room was beautiful. Loved the breakfast space and the pool for amazing photos. Will definitely stay again!

My first time in Cartagena and at Leones. I would suggest getting the car transfer to the hotel from the airport. There are three hotels - Leones, Casa and Sol de Alba. It can be confusing initially so having a professional driver with A/C who knows exactly where to go is worth the extra expense. I got in around midnight and was greeted warmly by Armand. He was very helpful with helping with my bags etc., asking if I wanted to plan anything for the upcoming days and he would be happy to set them up so I didn’t lose anytime trying to figure things out on my own and speaks perfect English which made my late night brain happy as my Spanish is limited. Armand gave me a tour of the property and even made sure I received the sandwich I requested. I got in late and had short connections so I didn’t have time to eat. I appreciate Leones being able to grant my request. My room was a deluxe double. It was quaint the A/C was robust as was the hot water. It had a shower sink and toilet with all the necessities. There were plenty of snacks and beverages in mini bar. On that level is the restaurant so you order drinks and have them on the terrace. Street noise was not an issue. Breakfast is juice, sausage, arepas, eggs, bread, cafe and fresh fruit. I was always greeted with a warm welcome by Baker. He is upbeat and helped me practice my Spanish. I also had very pleasant exchanges throughout my visit with Guillermo who helped give directions to Uber drivers and helped me navigate during the day and Juhan who helped with my fan and bags when I came in and lastly Carlos Leon who made my birthday reservations and dinner reservations before I arrived. I would return to Leones because Armand and Baker definitely treated me like family. I never felt that any request was too much or too little. They made the difference in making my stay amazing!

We had a magical stay at Leones de Alba. We were originally booked at Casa de Alba but due to AC issues, they moved us to Leones. I can’t say enough about the staff who were all lovely. I could write a whole review about Armando who took us in like family and was an instant friend. He introduced us to the rooftop, welcomed us back at night, made us laugh, and was a pure gem. Our stay wouldn’t have been the same without him. Guillermo was gracious, knowledgeable, kind and helped make us dinner reservations that we had been unable to make and kept us comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and very conveniently located in Centro. The rooftop pool and lounge area is gorgeous and the view at night is stunning. Breakfast was yummy! Very grateful for our time there!
