Hampton Inn Bowling Green KY

We have stayed at Hampton Inn’s on the past as we enjoy the convenience of location and breakfast. This one however needs work The room smelled damp and stale. There were stains on the curtains and the mattress needs replaced. The staff, however, was very pleasant and attentive.

This hotel needs some upgrades. This is our second time staying here. The first time was just OK but we decided to give it another try. This will be our last time staying at the Hampton Inn. The carpet was dirty and the bed was worn. I requested extra pillows from the front desk and they said they didn’t have any. As we were walking to the elevator we were talking about how they don’t have extra pillows and one of the housekeeping staff overheard and apologized for the inconvenience and worked their magic and brought us two pillows. It made sleeping in that uncomfortable bed much better. The handicapped accessible room should be cleaned a bit better. Most eye level stuff was cleaned well but they need to see where a wheelchair bounded person sees and clean there as well. This picture is in the bathroom at chair level. Everything and eye level for standing person is clean. It’s an easy mistake. Just something to consider.

As a Hilton Diamond Member for over 20 years, I have always appreciated the consistency and comfort of Hilton properties. However, during my recent stay, I encountered something quite unexpected: there was no microwave in the room. Instead, a shared microwave had been placed near the check-in desk. Funny, the table the microwave sits on remained in the room. After a 12-hour drive from Virginia, I stopped to pick up some BBQ with the expectation of heating it up in my room, only to find that a microwave was not available. I ended up eating my meal cold and went to bed disappointed. At first, I honestly thought the microwave had been removed or stolen, but I learned the next morning from the front desk that this was intentional. Aside from this issue, the hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was excellent—no complaints there. I do, however, strongly encourage management to reconsider the decision to remove microwaves from individual rooms. For travelers and families alike, having a refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave in-room is a basic and essential convenience. Very respectfully, Dr. Ken King

In one of the most difficult moments of my life, the team at this Hampton Inn showed me a kind of compassion I’ll never forget. I had just driven through the night from Florida, to bring my daughter home due to a domestic violence situation. (She’s was the victim) She was very ill, had a high fever and an ambulance took her to the hospital. She was waiting in the emergency room parking lot when I arrived in Bowling Green around 4:00 AM. I was emotionally and physically exhausted. When I walked into the hotel, the staff didn’t just greet me—they saw me. Even though it was long before check-in time, they offered us a room at 6:00 AM so we could rest for a few hours before heading to pack up my daughter’s apartment. That may not seem like much to some, but in that moment, it was everything. Their flexibility and warmth gave us a safe, quiet place to breathe and regroup. The gentlemen at the front desk were kind, thoughtful, and deeply human. It wasn’t just hospitality—it was heart. Thank you, Hampton Inn Bowling Green. Your compassion meant more than you’ll ever know.
