DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront

I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront from March 13–15 while traveling with my daughter and son for a dance competition, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel had a strong mold and mildew smell throughout. Cleanliness was clearly an issue—dirty carpets, an unclean pool, and a bathroom that needed repairs. Customer service was poor, with staff being rude and dismissive when I tried to resolve a room issue. My first room was right by the elevator with constant noise, and the neighboring room was loud all night. After switching rooms, the second room still wasn’t acceptable—the shower door was missing and replaced with a dirty, discolored curtain. Basic amenities didn’t work. The internet and TV were unusable, and I had to use my personal hotspot. The ice machine on the floor was broken, and there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Parking is paid but not secure. Overall, this hotel does not meet expectations. I would not recommend staying here.

The room location, cleanliness, and overall experience was great. The most attractive of all was the view of the city from our room. We could see the entire riverwalk, and was also in walking distance.

The only thing I would say could've been better was getting a room that wasn't near the elevator. The sounds were constant but ended up putting mw to sleep so 7/10.

Room was old. The tub was gross. For the price I expected way better conditions. Looks like they haven't updated their rooms in 20 yrs.

My tub was cleaned, but the surface discoloration made it appear as if it had not. Also, a significant water leak from the tub faucet, a consistent heavy stream of water. I notified the desk clerk at check out.

We recently stayed at this DoubleTree and were extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. Paint was chipping off the walls throughout the room, which immediately made the space feel poorly maintained. The carpet around the AC unit was visibly dirty and stained, and the unit itself looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was also in rough shape. The wall material near the shower was peeling away and showed signs of moisture damage. On top of that, the shower itself barely worked properly — when the handle was turned to about the halfway point, the water would completely shut off. We had to keep adjusting the handle just to keep the water running. Overall, the room felt worn down and unclean, which is not what we expected from a DoubleTree. We’ve stayed at many Hilton properties and this was by far the most disappointing experience. Management really needs to address the maintenance and cleanliness issues at this property.

room AC extremely loud, bathroom unclean (hair), the bed was worn out, carpeting dirty, furniture old and stained. Not remotely worth the almost 300 I spent.

Initially, when we arrived, the looby looked nice and clean. We requested additional hours to stay on last day. Reception was kind and houred the hours with the contigent upon paying 50.00, in which we agreed. When we arrived to our room, the Room was unkept. First, Bathroom had a dirty ring around tub. Second, Bed was shuffled. Third cold water showers was not appealing. Water was never hot/warm/lukewarm. Nevertheless, on the last day I was told their notes on record did not indicate an additional extended hour stay over and I had to leave. I was upset. Never will I stay at this particular unkept hotel again. On another occasion they bait and switched with the food menu. The room service had one price and when I went to the bar to pick it up, it was another price. I was told they had not updated the menus to coincidence with T he room menus.. I thought she would honor the lower price food item as a courtes. As a result of these experiences, I rate the hotel subpar. They lost what could have been a loyal customer due to staffing incompetence.

I had a wonderful 10 day stay! I would like to recognize two employees. Ezzy in the restaurant was wonderful…very friendly and accommodating. Karen Padget in the sales office was our hero! She worked with us to make things happen, even when it seemed impossible.
