"Summer stay"

Great breakfast, nice room. No AC or elevator though, not a big deal for us but might be for others.

The property is extremely well located and is pet friendly which is lacking in the area. Food is good and breakfast included in the price is well done. The property is in need of renovation. Soundproofing is particularly an issue. No A/C and just long in the tooth. Apparently, renovation has been discussed and planned but has not been initiated. Not sure we'd stay here again without upgrade.

"Yup...A Must"

8.0

This place is incredibly serene with super friendly staff and an excellent restaurant (ask for Heather as your server). It also has a great bar area which also hosts the free breakfast buffet which is one of the best we've had. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It had a nice honor bar and offered the PlumpJack bathrobes, glassware, wine key....etc for sale if you so choose. We were there on an exceptionally warm weekend and there was no AC and the ventilation in the room was lacking. It also smelled a bit musty ala ski lodge....but trust me this should be and was overlooked due to the magnificence of the rest of our experience. The lodge is located right across from the Tram and Squaw Village. You can literally roll out of the Hotel, cross the street and board the Tram. The pool area is quiet and serene with two hot tubs. We will definitely be back ASAP! Thank You PlumpJack!

"Lovely place to stay"

8.0

Very nice place to stay. Pretty grounds. Smaller more intimate hotel. Just steps away from the village at Squaw. Nice to have the ability to book one night only on a weekend as everywhere else has a two night minimum. Free parking, nice to have breakfast included in price of room. Good breakfast buffet with free range eggs, bacon , potatoes, waffles. Accommodating and we’re able to check us in early. Nice extra touches ..plush bathrobes to use , nice soaps , shampoos, they even brought us a complimentary bottle of wine after learning it was our anniversary. Pricey but every place is up there and it’s Tahoe so rooms can be rustic however this place was quaint, charming and clean.

Window blinds funky and room faced a service area...the blinds were important in this particular room. Clean, great bed, nice staff, cool bar, free bicycles. Pool and spas outdated. Overall pretty nice.

It was a nice location and the room was ok, except for the loud trucks at dawn with backup sound going on for two mornings of 3 days. No sleeping in. No where did I see mentioned that the pool was only 31/2 feet deep. I also have just received charges on my AM Ex that were not made by us and it has been several hours since I called and no one has returned my call. Mold in shower. A little disappointing.

"Worned down"

6.0

We use to love, love, love Plumpjack but it is run down and the food is not as great as it use to be. The beds are hard on the sides and sink-in in the middle. It's always noisy at Plumpjack because the of the road and garbage bins that are collected in the morning. We always stay on the second floor because you cna always hear the people in the floor above you, but it does cost more. The blinds and shades don't open and close very smoothly and don't keep out any light. The windows don't open very far, so it gets very stuffy on a summer evening. We can't wait until they tear down the old building and build a new and improved. Hopefully this will revive the kitchen to come back up to it's original greatness. The staff are always great and the bar is still wonderful. The breakfast use to be great and now is only OK. The wifi was not stable when they were fully booked.

First time to stay at PlumpJack and it’s awesome. Great breakfast and room. Everything was just great from a comfortable bed to a nicely appointed room. The pool and hot tubs were great and the setting is beautiful and mere steps from everything in the village.

"Really great first stay at PlumpJack"

8.0

I had eaten at the restaurant several times prior to this trip, so looked forward to my stay at the Inn. Overall, it was a very good stay. Highlights were the location, free breakfast and accommodating staff. Downsides were that the room is in need of refurbishment and parking is in a little outdoor lot. I have stayed in the condo-type properties close by and would definitely pick PlumpJack over those others in the future.
