I didn’t stay

Parking was a fee that was extra. Electric receptacles was hanging off the wall, lights had no shades. A little disappointed.

The location was good

Staff was completely tide and kept saying booking.com was wrong and that i was wrong. Wanted 300 dollar deposit. Booked so my daughter could go swimming but pool not available during stay yet says it is on the website..when I said due to no pool and 300 dollar deposit not mentioned anywhere I want to go to another hotel(this was all at checkin) i hate to fight this rude clerk to get it canceled..told no manager or supervisor avail till Monday to authorize this..it was Friday...run away dont walk this horrible business..

The bathroom was nicely renovated & the bed was clean. The location was in perfect proximity to all the things. The in room heater was awesome too - throws some good heat!! I liked having a mini fridge.

The breakfast barely qualified as breakfast, very bare bones. The room had 100’s of tiny ants everywhere. The walls were paper thin, so I listened to my neighbours Indian music most of the 2 days I was there, I could even hear them turn on Netflix. Sigh. The bed was pretty hard & pillows were lumpy.

The fact that they’re attempting to renovate.

The facility is beyond tired and worn out. We checked in and were awaiting a room but after seeing the facility conditions…made the right choice to move on to a better facility. Some examples are pest control trap in breakfast area under table, brick in middle of breakfast area holding flooring down, stained ceiling tiles, air vent in main entrance periodically released odd smell. We travelled with a sports team and families…several people from our team had been assigned rooms and upon entry found bugs under pillows and coming out of drains etc, bedding was stained, showers had mold…and so on. Niagara Region Public Health needs to be proactive and spot check these older facilities and ensure public health is top priority. Choice Hotels needs to spot check, doubt this would meet corporate expectations.

Easy walk to the falls.

Very old and outdated. Floor was so dirty. Had to have socks on. Shower had no water pressure and was only luke warm
