The waterfront! The boats! The fog!

The place is really run down and in desperate need of upgrade. Bathroom was dirty and gross. Didn’t get any recognition for being a Hyatt Globalist - usually they at least thank you for your loyalty and offer late checkout and bottles of water. They didn’t even let us know about the free breakfast we are supposed to get.

Great location for activities around Jack London Square. The room was comfortable and clean. Water view rooms are preferable.

Our group had 6 rooms for a long weekend at the Hyatt Waterfront. The rooms were clean and comfortable, no issues. A good pool is a requirement for our group and this pool area was great! Safe valet parking was directly outside of our rooms and the cars were available quickly when needed. Most of us were familiar with the area but Jack London Sq has really filled in with some good dining options within a couple of blocks from the hotel. Lots of options for food, drinks, coffee and snacks. We were also <1 mile from BART with 20+ bars and restaurants in between. We felt safe going to and from BART even after midnight. It was easy to get around using rideshare, Lime scooters, BART and on foot. Alameda just started a free shuttle across the channel from Jack London Sq, we used it to explore Alameda one day, went out to the beach and found lots of fun places on Park St. We also ran on the waterfront trail every morning, it was great, views of the marinas, US Coast Guard station and Alameda. We took the Amtrak into Oakland with the station conveniently 3 blocks from the hotel. Definitely recommend staying at the Hyatt Waterfront in Oakland!

I enjoyed my stay with an afternoon meal at Scott's and a tour of Plank's, a wonderful sport and entertainment venue. Did not have time to take the ferry to Fisherman's Wharf but will make time next trip. I felt safe exploring this area and enjoyed the beautiful weather and sea breeze. My room was spacious and comfortable.

I have always wanted to stay in Jack London Square. This hotel is conveniently located near Yoshi's and other dining. There are stores within driving distance. I highly recommend the ocean view room. Our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was easy to adjust for the perfect room temperature. We weren't expecting the lovely scent of the hotel soap.

Great location! Lots of delicious restaurants around the property. Pool was a good size!
