Mercure Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle

We thought we had booked in the other Mercure so we’re disappointed to learn we had to take a shuttle from the airport. That being said, this property is on the low end of the Mercure scale, more basic. Once here, everything works, pleasant staff.

We had a nice meal in the bar that was served by Bashir who did a great job.

I stayed two days. The hotel is located near the village of Roissy, so there are parks and cafes and even a shopping mall within walking distance. The free shuttle takes a little longer and when the bus is full it can be a challenge with luggage. It’s a pleasant enough setting. I found the reception staff helpful but a bit perfunctory, the room cleaners were responsive to my request to make the bed to my liking, which I really appreciated. The restaurant food was passable, better than the one meal I had in the village and the staff were helpful. Overall not too bad for an airport hotel.

I found bed bugs in the room. Asked to change room and the new room also had bed bugs. Couldn’t not stay the night in the hotel. Too dirty and infested of bed bugs

Dirty and smelly Laundry was out around hallways! The front desk was always empty and the phone would always run of the hook! The staff always claimed to be busy and or "too busy"!

Delux room had badly damage bathroom door which when open collides with unit front door Soap profucts could not be opened , ac no thermo stat Toilet lid loose Noisey neighbours Shuttle to airport turned up full , took an uber and 3 kms cost 20 euros rip off But this is paris

Close to the Airport ,good shuttle service,staff friendly. Food is good

Folks, A couple of hours after our 1:00PM arrival, we discovered that the room refrigerator was NOT working, and we needed to keep some left-overs from spoiling. Instead of a replacement (spare?) refrigerator, the Desk Clerk could only offer us a different room, which would have meant packing up our clothes and relocating...something we did NOT wish to do. Since this is probably not an uncommon problem with hotels such as yours, we respectfully recommend that you have a couple of "extra" refrigerators on-hand for situations such as ours. I stayed at this Mercure Paris Roissy CDG twice last year and raved about it, so I booked it again for May 15, 2019. I was sorry I did. It did not seem like the same place! Check In: The heavy-set fellow at the desk was neither friendly nor helpful, with quick, snarly, and barely understandable phrases. I remember him from last year as being very friendly and happy, and we even chatted a bit as I checked out. This time, he made me feel like he was doing me a favor by letting me stay at his hotel. The room: The room was not terrible, but it was not very nice. There were three (3) army type cots instead of the double bed I ordered and paid for. Uncomfortable, lumpy and awful feeling. I would have complained but I was too tired and wanted to sleep. The carpet was filthy, stains and worn. The bathroom was old, fixtures look from the Cold War Era. Bathtub was in bad shape, lots of scrapes and gashes, and had stains that will probably never come out. The woodwork is all scrapped up and the smell of the room was musty and stale, not to mention the temperature was way too hot and couldn’t be controlled. Last year I paid $75 for a room. This year it was $133. WAY too expensive for the quality. Based on cost/quality, I have to give it a 2-Star this time and decided that I won’t be staying at this Mercure anymore. Next time I’ll check out the Campanille just down the street; looks far nicer.
