Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Winnemucca

Requested a pet-friendly room. I didn’t think that would mean a room in such poor condition. The basic amenities were missing such as a clock and blow dryer. But that wasn’t a big deal. There was an ironing board and iron but the ironing board was on its last legs and the iron was dirty. I had to ask for new towels as the towels in the room were stained. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. I’d expect the carpet in a pet friendly room to have some stains but the carpet needs maintenance (deep cleaning or replacement). The mattress had stains on the side indicative of pet stains. The bathroom floor wasn’t terrible but it could’ve used a mopping. There wasn’t a bath mat in the shower making it very slippery when taking a shower. Had to put down a towel. There were nails in the wall where pictures once hung, I assume. There was a hole in the wall stuffed with tissue paper. We stayed one night as we were passing through the area so we made the best of it but we will not stay there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful so it’s hard to say if the room’s condition is due to the staff or management.

We never stayed at the Econo Lodge. When we checked in we were told the motel was overbooked and were directed to another property down the street. It was newly renovated and clean but not the same value. It was a clear bait and switch and put us off Expedia for good.

Staff polite and professional

Towels had stains or were unwashed and there was a used washcloth in the shower. The box spring was exposed and showed stains. Overall not what I would expect for a $149 / nite room.

Me and my family booked at the hotel have a little family reunion. I didn’t get any notification that the pool was not working. I had to go book a room at another hotel for the last two nights so we could have our kids play at the pool.

Not bad for a cheap motel. Beds were comfortable, it was quiet.

Stained carpets, stained towels, and filthy mattresses. Mold in the bathroom, no drain stops and the toilet would take 4 flushes to clear. The cleaning crew missed a beer bottle under one bed and after another cleaning the bottle was left again so clearly they are not doing a good job. They own a few hotels on this street. The front counter staff leave to manage the other hotels. We had 2 rooms, and we were met with a sign at 3 pm check-in saying the staff stepped out and will return. A phone number was on this sign, and when I called, no answer. We waited 30 minutes for someone to show up. Then our pre-paid reservation was not completed on their end, so we waited again for them to input the info into their system and check us in. Then, since we were not reserved, only one room was available. The other room had to be cleaned, which took 2 hours. Pictures are available.

We had no tv, was told the cable box was being replaced, didn’t happen. The room was dirty, stains on the carpet and walls. Bedding seemed clean but the beds themselves were bumpy and uncomfortable. Not great. Get what you pay for, sad to say 80$ for a place to sleep doesn’t get it. Lesson learned.

Ice machine does not work

Worn out room and dirty sink. Underequiped. Didn't even have a bedside lamp.
