ibis Brussels off Grand Place

The hotel has a very convenient location, just a short walk to Grand Place and the subway station. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the single bed was quite noisy whenever I moved, which could be improved. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of choices and great quality. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the stay even better. Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and very convenient. I would recommend it, though the bed noise issue should be addressed.

I stayed with my friend and daughter, we booked two rooms and upgraded. The noise from the corridor, doors slamming inside the property and lift was unbearable especially on top of the street noise, I spoke to reception to see if they had any earplugs I was referred to shops outside at approximately 11pm who may sell them, sadly they didn’t. I emailed reception who acknowledged the importance of a good nights sleep, but didn’t offer anything further. I responded and had to chase 2 weeks later for a response. The hotel said they could not be held responsible for outside noise, but did not take on board any noise within their building. The hotel claims to have soundproofed rooms but this clearly is bare minimum if any at all. There are a number of mitigation measures that could put in place to reduce noise but they obviously don’t value their customers. I am regularly in brussels and stay in Ibis hotels in other cities but the impression this place has left on me means I won’t stay again. For info we have also stayed in the novotel, dixemptsie and nh hotel on the square with no issues with external noise.

Great location. Was a little disappointed to find the single bed was a rollaway bed and not a full single as stated. I usually avoid rollaways and would’ve looked elsewhere had I know this. It certainly isn’t what is shown the photographs. We only had one bath towel each which was a bit threadbare. No hand towel. Rooms were clean. Staff were all friendly.

Hotel located at start of Main Street. 5 min walk to the main square. A lot of people in the area and safe.

Location is excellent. Walking distance to central station. Restaurants and Grand Place is walkable.

So convenient

Excelente localização, pessoal muito gentil e solícito, hotel muito limpo, quarto simples, mas muito limpo e silencioso, com TV, ótimo café da manhã. Chegamos em Bruxelas 1,5h antes das 15h, mas já pudemos fazer o check-in e ocupar o quarto. Ótima estadia do primeiro ao últmo dia. Pretendemos voltar.
