ibis Brussels off Grand Place

My wife has stayed here before but my first time. Clearly a fanatic location for the hotel as near Grand Place and restaurants, bra and shops, Also the central train station is nearby. Front desk service friendly and helpful. Also good service from the barman and we had a few drinks here. Plenty of breakfast choices including a waffle machine. A couple of times I would have liked the hot food to be replenished quicker but overall happy to recommend breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable although tea making did not have milk and tea bags were ones that don’t take milk such as camomile. I am guessing this is deliberate but to be fair I forgot to ask reception and maybe they could have provided milk if we had asked. We would stay at this hotel again in the future

Location was awesome. Right across Grand Place and lots of restaurants and things to do nearby. The Ibis Grand Place is a nice quaint looking building from the exterior. On the flip side the room was not spacious enough. We were three travelers and a bit cramped for space . The Check in process was bad. The staff kept trying to give us a room on the 6th floor to which there was no elevator access. I was charged twice despite telling the front desk folks that I was already charged and had to be reimbursed again for the double charge . In my mind, it was too expensive for the amenities provided

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet selections and noticed the attention to cleanliness of the staff. The hotel is in a wonderful location to experience the historical Brussels.

The location of this hotel is AMAZING, completely worth it booking the hotel for. 3-minute walk from the Central Station, 4-minute walk of the Grand Place and right besides is the Galeries. However the rooms are not something to cry for, they’re ok, the cleaning is not great but for the price is pretty decent. If you’re willing to sacrifice comfort over location then definitely book this hotel.

The location is great. The rooms are miniscule… too small for comfort. The beds are horrible.

Location

The hotel is conveniently located at the hub of the centre. If staying here, it is walking distance to main attractions, shopping, dining. The entrance and staff are welcoming. It has a mix of old and new atmosphere. We had a 1 queen/1 twin beds room. The room was spacious, bathroom remodeled. Because the room is L-shaped, the aircon did not cool the room equally. The air was blowing well to the twin bed but it did not reach the larger space where the queen bed was located. The curtain in the bathroom was moldy on the top (not easily seen) but I have keen eyes for cleanliness and hygiene. It would help it the conditions of windows/curtains/walls are regularly checked. The beds were very comfortable. We appreciate the coffee maker in the room. It would have been nice to have a small fridge. Overall- we would consider staying at this hotel again and would recommend to others for its location.
