Hampton Inn Norfolk-Naval Base

All was pretty standard. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but I would stay there again. The breakfast was fine and the rooms were what I would expect at the hotel's price point.

It was fine as is. If I wanted a 5-star, I would've stayed at a 5-star.

Our first night was terrible. The toilet in our room did not work, and the phone was also out of service, so my husband had to go downstairs to report it. Instead of maintenance, he was sent back with a plunger and told we’d have to wait until the next day since no one was available to fix it. This was extremely inconvenient, especially with two young granddaughters and no working toilet all night. The next day, maintenance came but still couldn’t fix the issue. We were told we’d have to wait until another guest checked out before we could move. Once we finally got into the new room, it was much better—clean and more comfortable. Overall, the cleanliness was okay, but the first-night experience left a very negative impression. The second room improved our stay, but the lack of urgency and proper response on the first night was very disappointing

There was a little water leak in the lobby but they fix it asap

This property is very convenient to the naval base.

We stayed here prior to leaving for a cruise. The hotel was clean, convenient and affordable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast before driving to the cedar grove parking lot for the shuttle to the Carnival terminal.

Not worth the 1500.00 I paid for a 1 week stay The hotel smells of mildew. The beds are wet due to the mildew. Says it a non smoking facility but it reeked of cigarette smoke. The staff was nice. I could have stayed at a motel 8 and saved myself 1k.
