ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck

Room very hot, the AC was disabled and the windows even wide open were bringing no air. Felt like trap in a cage. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in these conditions. It's a wonder how to follow covid recommendation of changing the air in rooms. It's my 3rd ibis with this aeration problem, I thought it was a one or two occurrence but no it's all the ibis hotels that way. Never again for me...

Ibis hotel is very well located and centered, staff is nice and helpful

The property was close to family, where we were visiting. Everything else was disappointing. Staff were unfriendly, aggressive, offensive, not helping at all. We had two rooms, one of them were unusable, the staff at the front desk claimed, that there were no other rooms available, even though the property had a lot of vacancies. Second day, the F.Desk supervisor, were very rude, never apologize, we had to extend our stay, for one more night, since we arrived almost 2.00AM, and we could not shower. They charged us for second night, gave us €20 discount, and removed the breakfast, so wended up paying for the second night more than what we paid for the first night. I do mot recommend this property to overseas travelers, since the staff here , have no senses to what customer service means.

Clean but a little worn down. Not a fan of the 2 single mattresses put side by side. Good location and nice places to eat as well as transport connection.

Good for a budget hotel. Small room and bathroom, comfy and clean. The location was pretty good, easy to walk to the touristic area and public transportation just in front of the hotel. If you are looking for a budget hotel, this is a good place

The hotel was nice and clean, fresh, well presented. The staff were very welcoming and respectful at the same time. The hotel is well placed to visit Bordeaux either by foot or by tram (the stop is virtually opposite the hotel).

Easy check in, comfy bed, good WiFi and quiet room

For 3 days the staff could not provide an iron to press my clothes ( even though it stated in the description it would be available). I got tired of asking 6 times a day. Hotel reception was usually unoccupied, pretty big queues at reception just waiting for staff. Carpet in my room was filthy and tired and the toilet door handle was broken, so the door kept opening. And finally the aircon worked only at the minimum level, quite annoying in 35degree heat! I guess you get what you pay for!

In times of covid you care more abt cleanliness. You know that Ibis (especially in Frnacr) is not abt that much comfort or anything, but abt security of custom chain standards. Ok, the staff at the reception and restaurant were really trying their best, but the room cleanliness left much to be desired. I had dust and hair on the soles of my feet after walking barefoot in the room. That felt disgusting really. And when you see the cleaning ladies, do they wear gloves or masks when cleaning rooms and making your bed? No. Hotels should really concentrate on making these cleaning procedures as transparent and as regulated as possible! Especially at the times of covid.

The location is excellent. It is easy to access public transportation and walk to everywhere.
