The Ibis hotel was actually very nice. Normally I am reticent to consider staying at so-called " budget hotels". However, my wife and I had a pleasant stay at the Ibis Budget hotel in Bordeaux, Meriadeck. My only beef was that they could have put more towels in the room since we were two persons. But overall our experience was positive. I would recommend this hotel.

Air conditioner was making terrible noise throughout the night. Bathroom lights flickered the whole time and power outlets were not conveniently located in the room.

The location is excellent and easy access to historical centre, shopping area, the train station or to the airport. The room is comfortable. If you plan to stay, don't let the room door to slam behind you. It shocks you when you are sleeping and the guests do that in the middle of the night. Bordeaux=wine=little careless guests :)

Breakfast is very expensive if you are a small eater €10.50 for tea and toast is extorsionate No tea /coffee facilities in room :(
