ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck

Do not stay here if your expectations are anything other than a tiny bare bones room with an old mattress. Amenities like a tv, air conditioning, functioning lights, and a toilet and shower are true purely as a matter of fact, but in reality they are non existent for the purposes of enjoyment or relaxation for a holiday in Bordeaux. First room we were given had a ridiculous amount of hair on the bed and walls were smudged with dirt all over. Second room was cleaner but still full of smudges and things light dirty light switches and a weakest of lighting in the rooms. The poor guy at reception was the ONLY one here in the late afternoon until the next day. How does one person answer the phone, check people in, and manage a 250 room hotel alone?! How is that a thing? Immediately booked another hotel and taking a loss on the non-refundable second night. You’ve been warned.

staff were great, happy, friendly. breakfast was ok, not the same as breakfasts i have had in other Ibis hotels. Breads, ham, cheese which were nice. the main problem we had with the stay was the building work going on, which again is understandable, but the mess on the floor at the main entrance every night wasn't. someone be it builders or hotel staff should have spent 10 minutes moping the entrance for the benefit of the guests.

Good Hotel for a few nights stay, liked the room and had a comfortable bed. Staff are polite and professional. The downstairs restaurant is fine, the food tasted alright and service was good, great if you've had a lond day and want something convient and easy. Location is great, Tram stop across the street makes getting around easy and the main city centre is just a few minutes walk away.

Room included very dirty toilet, stained carpets and a piece of a plastic bottle top between the sheets and the mattress. Soundproofing so poor that we could hear couples going at it in adjacent rooms! The lobby is being refurbished, the work had obviously stopped for the Christmas holidays and no attempt made to leave it tidy looking or particularly safe, plastic sheets taped up haphazardly and flooring partly laid then left providing trip hazards. Been a long time since ii stayed in a hotel as poorly run and crummy as this. The position is good relative to the core sights, about the only saving gracehe inner and outer glass entrance doors were smashed and just left.

Good location. Only a 10 minute walk to main shopping street, bars and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Had to pay for parking. You get what you pay for.....

Our 3 day stay was pleasant.The hotel was convenient for the shops and restaurants,we did not eat at the hotel.Our room was a reasonable size and the beds very comfortable. The hotel is in need of refurbishing but overall we enjoyed staying there.We would return when we visit Bordeaux again.We found the staff pleasant.

Dining room dinner - food crude unimaginative bland and basic. Staff girl who seemed to be in charge was very unhelpful and even agressive in her communication and guest treatment. Very negative response to questioning of any kind. This was the final evening of my stay and the only time I ate in the hotel. The experience was as bad as I have ever had.

Fair hotel with good location. service and amenities are very basic.

Hotel well situated. Room clean, but very basic and in need of refurbishment.
