Riviera Hotel Beirut

They did not allow my wife to enter the bool because she wears Hijab, and the swimming bool employees (who are not profissional at all) said that other people would not like to see my wife who will be wearing an islamic swimming clothing in the bool, so she is not allowed to swim....Too bad! will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone because of this incident.

The hotel is really run down. The pool area does not look anything like on the picture. Only 1 pool is open. You have to pay extra for cabanas. Bathroom wasn’t clean at all. The lady at the reception is very helpful. WiFi is good and the tv in the room has lots of channels.

Not impressive in getting back to clients , used to be much better ...management has to consider training skills and work on the staff

Despite the minor mix up when we checked in, and having to wait for the room to be cleaned, the fruit basket, the service level of the staff and the view from our balcony made up for it. So did the pool area, where we spent every morning luxuriating in the sun and cooling down in the saltwater pool. I had never tried a saltwater pool before, and it took a little getting used to, but it didn't smell of clorine and it left my skin soft and ready for the sun. The location of the hotel was great. Very central, and a good starting out point for the many walks we took. Not too far from interesting cultural explorations and right by the water. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and would love to come back for another visit.

1- besid my room was a construction wake me up at 8 everyday 2- telfone in the romm dont work for 3 days, needed to come down to order 3- information for the guests about the city is bady 4- the taxis drivers from the hotel don't speek English and charge to much Pool area under construction 4- no goos service at the pool area that make u stand all the time that u want have a bier

1) The lock in my room door was not working. 2) The phone exist in the room worked one day out of three days. 3) The shower was so bad, the water was so slow. 4) I tried to order an adapter for the electricity to charge my mobile and it was not available.

On corniche, nice walk to pigeon rocks and downtown beirut, nice beach club, good room service

The hotel is very centrally located and is directly on the promenade by the sea. It has access to the pool area just by the ocean, which is it's only attractive quality. However, the beach club has separate management and so you are asked to pay for towels and for specific sun loungers. The service at the pool is incredibly poor and food and drinks bad quality and overpriced. The staff in the hotel were disappointingly unhelpful and unresponsive. Our room was small but fine, however, our air conditioning was severely leaking the entire stay, which was unsafe as there were lights on the ceiling by the leak and the floor was constantly a pool of water. Despite constantly asking reception this was never fixed. The phone in the room was also constantly not working, which meant having to go down to reception. During our stay the door to the balcony also did not open due to the lock being broken, this was only fixed on the last day of our 6 night stay. We were never offered another room or any sort of compensation for all these issues. I would only choose this hotel if you want to spend the entire time partying by the pool, otherwise there are many much better options in Beirut. This hotel if would rate as a three star property at best.

i seriously expected from more this hotel. the cleaning this staff did not clean how they should have. i left food stain on my bed the night before and when i come back the next day my bed was made with the same bed sheets that had ketchup stains on them. my bathroom wasn't clean and money was missing from my room. the food was horrible and over priced for nothing. the staff was rude and unhelpful. they had no beech but two pools. walked into my room before with housekeeping looking through my things while my do not disturb sign was out. and my "city view" was the alley in the back. never again.

its okay, the hotel is old fashion need too much improvement ,the lobby very poor ,tv at room not work well, I think people come to it for swimming at the pool ,there is beach but not for swimming ,Jacuzzi cost 350 $ not include . the room was at corner you have to take of your kids at balcony .breakfast was good ,and staff is excellent .but I cant recommended it ,maybe you can just to swim at the pool.
