The Boars Head Resort will always be special to my boyfriend & I. We will always recommend it to anyone visiting Charlottesville or needs a weekend getaway! It’s a beautiful and serene piece of property but also close to UVA campus for bars and restaurants. We love the lakeside views and the clean & well designed rooms.

A lovely property in the mountains with a selection of room options (including our suite with a fireplace). Spa (which we enjoyed) and sports opportunites (which were available). Our experience was dampened a bit by weather in February. Limited dining options perhaps.

Hands down better than Kingsmill in all areas. Staff, rooms, overall accommodations, spa, and definitely dinning. Haven’t played the course at Boars Head so no insight on the golf. We have also recently stayed at The Homestead and The Green Briar and Boars Head is absolutely on the same level. The house keeping attention to detail and cleanliness of the rooms definitely better at Boars Head.

Went to the Murder Mystery Dinner and stayed with the package deal. It was a wonderful experience the Accommodations were excellent, and the Dinner was one to be remembered. We also had Brunch in the Mill Room on Sunday and was very nice.
