Hotel Indigo Napa Valley by IHG

Excellent room and staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I showed up at check in and was told that I only had a reservation for 1 room, for 1 night when I had actually booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. The front desk argued with me, saying it was my fault for using an online app. I pointed out that I booked directly through IHG and showed them my confirmation for 2 rooms and 3 nights. I provided identification AND spelt my name for the front desk when checking in. Despite this. the front desk entered a completely different name, that was not even close to my name. As a Diamond member, I typically choose breakfast as my amenity. The front desk initially gave me breakfast for one day, not three days until I questioned them about it. The front desk attempted to wrute all three dates on one card, until I pointed out that I would need a separate card for each of rhe three days I was staying there. On day 2, a stranger unlocked my hotel room door amd tried to walk in, insisting that it was his room. From a security standpoint, why would another guest have a key to my room? I had to forcibly slam the door to prevent the other guest from entering. When confronted, the front desk apologized, saying it was their mistake, offering yet another breakfast coupon. This hotel seems to lack proper procedures and consistency throughout. I spend over 70 days in IHG hotels each year, and have never experienced this utter lack of failure on the part of an IHG hotel. I do not recommend.
