The location was great! Being right off the beach was nice and each room came with 2 beach chairs. Complimentary waters, breakfast and evening reception was nice.

The phone in the room didn't work. Snacks at complimentary reception could have a variety instead of the same things every evening.

They gave us two waters every day.

The lobby is old and outdated. The grounds were not nicely manicured. Too many kids. Despite raining in the morning and clearing in the afternoon they wouldn’t put out beach chairs.

I rarely write a bad review. Good things - Location, Clean rooms, Breakfast, friendly valet and breakfast/restaurant/bar staff. Booked an oceanfront room. Was given a room that barely an ocean view room. Had a tough time getting it switched to oceanfront room on day 2 after several inquiries, packing/unpacking and more importantly lost time.

I am still shocked by the behavior of the front desk at this hotel. I have never felt like I was such a bother when dealing with people in customer service. They could not care any less about us as a customer. We booked this hotel thru Delta Stays which is powered by Expedia. We had to move our dates by a day. We did so weeks before we arrived. This created such a mess for the inept front desk employees. We called Expeida who spoke to Crystal and Crystal confirmed we were all set with the changes before we arrived. I brought the print out in case there were any issues. They would not hardly look at it except to say this is thru a 3rd party. Issues ranged from telling us we were there too early to telling us that we would have to change rooms to locking us out of our room to changing one day to a direct reservation and leaving the other night thru Expedia--It was a horrible experience. I can keep going. Gabe said he would remove the resort fee to get the price where it should be. It worked on one night we think. We could not get a receipt from the hotel with the charges. Joanne was so cold and impersonal the day we left. She just wanted us to leave. She kept saying it is thru a 3rd party. Well if I am standing at your property as a guest I should not be treated any differently. She would not provide a receipt and said she removed the resort charge for the 2nd night but could not show us. Never once did she apologize for the trouble or act like she cared about our experience in any way. If you are in customer service you need to like people and be able to handle issues with a professional manner. We will never be back to this hotel and I advise others to think hard about it because of all the trouble that happened and they were no help. Again, no one acted like they cared even a little bit if we had a problem or if we enjoyed our stay or if they could be of any help. Nothing bus issues! BEWARE!
