Carpet and bathroom would benefit from more attention. Great area and friendly service. Breakfast amazing.

Decor slightly tired but still great value . Iranian man on the desk was lovely . Breakfast included was really good and plenty of it .

The hotel was good value for money.

The staff are mean specially Gabriella . The rooms small. You ask for non smoking room you will get smoking room . Not clean hotel the carpets the walls the furniture old . I order in my booking for a double bed you will get small bed they will tell you call expedia . I am not happy from the hotel staff & Expedia .

(BTW, the worst hotel was the Go-Hotel at CPH airport). The hotel was fairly easy to find, but had nowhere nearby to park while checking in. It does have a well-hidden private car park, with only four spaces (and it's VERY tight) - they even tried charging us for the second night when it was already full and had to spend €25 at the nearest garage. The room was VERY small - but still had a huge armchair taking up the space. The beds faced in opposite directions, so both occupants seeing the TV was impossible (that didn't matter - the tiny TV did not work - someone else at reception was also complaining about theirs!). Wifi access was available - sometimes, not that you could plug in your laptop in a suitable place. The curtains and duvet cover both had cigarette burns, and there was no bedside lighting (just a broken desk lamp, too far away to be useful). The bathroom was tiny (I have had worse - this time I couldn't quite touch all four walls at the same time), but the sink occupied a very large space in the centre, making it seem much smaller. There was also mould all around the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable - sloping to one side, and the curtains were thin. There was also traffic noise, and noisy Irishmen and Geordies didn't help either! Breakfast was reasonable, but finishes too early - at 9:30am, food was not being replenished. You also have to remember to lock the room with the key, and hand it in when you leave - such a dated procedure!

Night reception was sucks He didn't even give me extra blanket and was so rude. The breakfast was good but the rest not at all.

Good hotel for the price I paid. Good location to the main train station. Lots of local bars and eateries just outside the hotel. Overall it was good.

For the price, nothing to complain about and everything presented good value.

Pros: Convenient, good price, good wifi and shower/bath tub. Luggage racks. Staff friendly unusual for a similarly starred hotel in a large German city. Handy to the station, shops, bars and a laundrette across the road (which is frustratingly closed on Sundays) Cons: Heating in the room not warm enough on cold nights, not enough power sockets, tv broke on the second night (ok as wifi was good enough to do without it), tired early 90's decor.

From the moment I stepped foot into this simple but cute hotel, I was greeted with nothing but polite and helpful staff. The place is very clean and moderately minimal - it has pretty much everything you'd need during your stay (great closet space and a fridge) in somewhat compact lodgings. But who needs to go overboard when you're spending most of your time visiting the area? This was within walking distance of several train stops (only a 5-minute walk to the Hauptbanhof) and about a 10-minute walk to the Ko (Koenigsallee). There are multiple shops and places to eat and drink in the area (Brauerei Schumacher is two doors down!). There is free breakfast in the morning and cleaning service every day if you so wish. The only issue was the wifi - it lagged a bit, especially during times when more people were back at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
