L'Auberge Del Mar Resort and Spa

Loved our trip this weekend, Scottie was amazing at the bar. We need him by the pool!!

I had such a wonderful experience staying here this past weekend. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food was fantastic, and the views were truly stunning. I loved the variety of activities available—it made the whole stay feel like a getaway. The location is perfect, and my room was beautiful, clean, and extremely comfortable. Everything exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Being overcharged by over $800 at checkout sadly has ruined the entire experience for us. I’ve spent 3 days arguing with rude management and have received no apology or accountability and only a partial refund. We booked our reservation through the Amex portal and I guess that has caused a lot of confusion on their end? It’s sad because we had a nice time and I expected this to be an easy resolution, not to have to argue for days to be properly charged.

Outstanding experience at a world-class hotel, run by a well trained team committed to service excellence. All aspects of my stay was memorable. Service was excellent from the arrivals team and the door and check-in, to the concierge, Hadia, to the restaurant hosts and servers... truly wonderful experience. And the setting is stunning! I’ll be back with my family and colleagues for future events too.

The hotel is a boutique style and beautifully nestled right below Del Mar's major attractions. It's proximity to the beach and local restaurants can't be beat! We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and hot tub. We ate at the pool bar and the food was great and service was friendly. We also enjoyed seeing that they were dog friendly even though we didn't have a dog with us ourself. Apparently they do dog happy hours at this hotel where you bring your dog and enjoy human and dog cocktails together. We want to bring our dogs back with us! Room 244 review: I wasn't thrilled to walk into the room to see that the only window in this room was near the top of the ceiling and then looked out onto the deck where people often walked by. Our room was essentially "underground". I almost called the front desk to ask if we could move to a more normal set up. I was pretty disappointed. The room itself was comfortable but I wasn't happy with the lack of sunlight and also the fact that we couldn't open the window unless we wanted to be looked into. For the price paid for the room I would expect more to be honest. That being said the bed was comfortable. The bathroom grout was pretty discolored/dirty looking - I would advise housekeeping to look into this. Despite the negatives, I would definitely return to this resort but next stay I would make sure we weren't in a room that is underground. To be completely honest, I think that room should be half the price as the others with a normal window.

Great location by the beach! A very courteous and helpful staff. Nice daily activities. Prime restaurants and activities walking distance away.

I had a fantastic stay. The hotel and spa are lovely. They handled a large event well. Service was great. Location in Del Mar is perfect.

Amazing location and staff. They took me to all the great restaurants. Also, I was there on a bicycle trip and riding from the hotel was very easy. The bell folks and bar staff are amazing.

What a place to enjoy the weather and hospitality offerings of San Diego but off the beaten path in beautiful Del Mar. Hill side gem overlooking the stunning Del Mar Beach sits L'Auberge Del Mar. This place is just wonderful in every regard catering to discerning travelers looking for a high end but oh so comfortable get away. Walking distance to the beach and loads of bars, restaurants and shops. Skip the city stay in San Diego and head a little north to this hidden gem oasis in Del Mar. You will not be disappointed.

if you like dogs and a hotel that needs an update bad then this is your place, everything is very dated. The area is great, but the hotel is dirty. Furniture ripped, it needs a complete restoration.
