L'Auberge Del Mar Resort and Spa

My daughter and I had a birthday spa day and it was Fantastic! we didn’t stay the night but had a beautiful lunch and used the lovely pool and spa amenities! What a view from the pool deck.

Loved my stay. A quick walk to the beach, gorgeous scenery, lovely rooms, incredible food, and within walking distance to so many lovely spots. I can't wait to return!

Unfortunately, this hotel is not a good choice for business people. It's fine if you want to have a party or an event... its designed well for that and the staff and flow of the hotel are great for that. But... for business people who might enjoy quieter, more calm surroundings to help focus (or to sleep which is often one of the perks of getting away from home if you have kids).. this is NOT the place for you.

Yes! The private dining room at Adelaide’s was set properly for our Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin - Sous Commanderie de San Diego - Annual Wine Committee Tasting/Dinner. Riedel Wines Glasses for our fine Burgundies. Everything excellent!!

We Love this property. Came across unexpectedly and have stayed several times now. Great Staff, clean rooms, great service. Always treated so well it's nice to feel Special! Would thoroughly recommend

It's a little challenging to get to the entrance on your first visit.

This isn't the style of place I would normally select, but I had some special visitors from out of town coming to see me, and it seemed like a good base. I left feeling very meh. While it was nice to receive champagne upon check-in, we were placed in two rooms at the opposite end of the resort. The first thing I noticed when coming into the rooms was that they were clean and somewhat comfortable but also relatively dated. It's never a good start when you realize there is no power at the bedside to plug your phone in, except for dated USB connections. We got one of the nicer rooms, but unfortunately, the balcony faced the parking lot and the busy road. The blind situation was terrible, and the wooden louvres did nothing to keep the morning light out. The resort has no beach access. While there is a view of the ocean, it's not as close as the photos might suggest. The resort is in need of some TLC with some dirty and faded paint on the exterior. The biggest bugbear was the tiny shower which made having a shower somewhat intolerable. About one-third of the shower was cut out by an angular wall. The shower head was very low and hit my head, and the shelf for amenities kept getting in the way, which made for a somewhat claustrophobic experience. The pool was relatively small, but that didn't matter because most of the outdoor area was overtaken by a wedding event. It's always frustrating when you show up on a hot Saturday sunny weekend. We were situated near a service area, which meant that we woke to the sound of cleaners slamming the service door over and over again with no regard for guests. The experience was okay, but it's not somewhere I would recommend or return to. To cap it all off, the mandatory valet at $65 a day is just profit taking - and it took forever to get my car.

Do not stay here. The hotel is run down with broken light and security latches on the doors. The management is incredibly rude and condescending and when I brought up my concern that I could not lock our exterior hall door they acted like I was asking for too much to be safe and that I needed to deal with it.

We got married on the rooftop at L’Auberge over the weekend and it was spectacular! From the great views and amazing sunset all the way to the top notch service. We would highly recommend staying at this boutique style hotel for a relaxing getaway or even having your wedding there.

Nice hotel with a nice spa. The location is in the mix of things. Fun activities. If you need anything, go to the valets in the hats. They will get everything done for you especially Sean! PS a little Ice Cream never hurt!

This hotel was a standout in terms of service and location. It is located in downtown Del Mar and you can walk to many restaurants, shops and the beach! Also every single staff member was friendly and very helpful. The service was outstanding.
