Hyatt Place Charlotte Arrowood

The two living cockroaches at the door (small for doormen but large for these things) should have been a warning. So, too, should have been the advance e-mail saying the elevator was broken and no floor guarantee could be given. I replied asking if that was both, knowing the former AmeriSuites layout, never hearing back. They were (both out) and upon arrival, our room was on the 6th floor. Pretty healthy but carrying luggage up 6 flights is not what 2 Seniors should be doing. The room was reserved with a senior rate. But worse, the guaranteed room type, booked far in advance, was not honored. No king bed, just doubles. For 3 nights. Zero compassion, only trash all over the lobby. So despite the late hour, we walked, rebooking at another hotel nearby, at higher cost but at least we got what we booked from the lobby of this disgrace to an otherwise wonderful brand, Hyatt Place. Take it from the "doormen"...stay away.

Location is ideal if you’re going to Carowinds and will be so tired you’ll sleep through the endless drag races taking place all night, every night. Hotel is great if you don’t mind climbing 6 flights of stairs several times a day because the elevator is broke. Hotel is great if you have to climb those flights of stairs several more times a day because they can’t program key cards correctly. Hotel is great if you want adjoining rooms, book because they said no problem we can accommodate that but no they really can’t, but don’t worry! You’ll find that out during check in…

Got to the property on an emergency trip , front desk area was flooded with unhappy guests bc their elevator was out of service. They had my room on the 5 floor. Still waiting for my refund. After a long drive I had to find another hotel last minute. Very inconvenient and inconsiderate

Great location! Staff was all very nice! Especially receptionist and the guy who was preparing breakfast. Breakfast was a great addition that added a lot of value to the experience! Definitely will be back!

No elevator. Room on 4th floor. Staff not friendly or helpful.

The elevators were out, they should have shut the hotel down and only open for the 1st and 2nd floor because walking up and down from the 5th floor was not fun at all .
