I stayed at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown when I attended Chicago North Romance Writers Spring Fling. Arturo and Lucas were warm and welcoming. They provided amazing service. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and enjoyed the restaurant food. Beautiful views of the bridges and river.

"Staff (Satara) hooked us up for our 20th anniversary!"

We honeymooned in Chicago 20 years ago and came back for our 20th anniversary. I mentioned this to the front desk staff upon check in and would you believe Satara and Jesse HOOKED US UP!! We got a beautiful suite with a river view for our entire week! They were so excited for us and so friendly. Anytime we got tired of sightseeing- we were excited to go back to our beautiful room and relax. Everything was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Who knows? Maybe we’ll be back for our 40th!

"Birthday Done Right"

The Royal Sonesta, especially Alexsia at the front desk, made my birthday unforgettable. All of the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and kind. The location is perfect, right on the river and easy to walk everywhere we needed to go. We had a concert at the Chicago Theater and it was a very close walk. The atmosphere feels luxurious yet minimalist when you walk in. Our room was gorgeous, everything was very clean, if you stay long they do have a nice kitchenette. The views are SPECTACULAR. Our room overlooked the river and I couldn't be happier. For the price we payed on a Saturday night, it felt reasonable and fair! There is a small bar and restaurant on the lobby level which was perfect to grab a quick drink before heading out on the town. I know there is a spa though we did not partake. 10/10 would 100% stay again. Thank you for everything Royal Sonesta!
