The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and can’t say enough great things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was top-tier. Arturo greeted us with such warmth and professionalism and was incredibly helpful with our bags—he truly set the tone for the entire visit. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable—one of the best nights of sleep we’ve had while traveling. Every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of. One thing that really stood out was how amazing the lobby smelled—it created such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere every time we walked in. Overall, we had a fantastic time and felt completely taken care of throughout our stay. We will absolutely be coming back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable experience.

This was such a pleasant experience from the time we arrived until the time we left. The hotel is very nice and clean and had everything we needed. It’s in such a great spot too facing the river with a beautiful view. All the staff was so kind and helpful and greeted us every time we left or came back to the lobby. I want to especially shoutout Arturo. He was so kind and hospital the entire time. Always ready to help us and greet us and make conversation. He knew what we needed before we did and would have it ready before we could ask. I’ve never had better service than from him. He really made us feel at home and made our experience so much better. He is an absolute gem. Thank you Arturo. Overall we had a wonderful experience. Would absolutely stay here again.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff is very nice and efficient. I specifically requested a quiet room and was granted that until some incredibly noisy guests took rooms next to mine. But the response from the staff was absolutely perfect: one simple call, security deployed, problem solved.

The one thing missing is a nicer place for meals, for the restaurant has a very limited menu (does not cater to my food restrictions) and doesn't look as pleasant as the other hotel areas.
