Kings Courtyard Inn

The Kings Courtyard Inn is an absolute gem! This historic hotel has it all, located on Kings Street you couldn’t ask for a better location from the moment you step inside the atmosphere of this beautiful inn is so charming and unique with all the tranquil courtyards. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antique furnishings but have some modern features to make your stay comfortable. The cleanliness of the common areas of the hotel and rooms are immaculate and the noise level was very very low to no noise at all. The value I think was very reasonable they offer complimentary breakfast which I must say was fantastic there were so many delicious options to choose from and the coffee and service were outstanding! Also in the early evening from 5:00 to 6:00 they offer complimentary cheese and wine. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Kings Courtyard Inn and will definitely stay there again when we visit Charleston in the future.

An amazing Inn with warm southern hospitality, an exemplary staff that makes you feel welcome and you have walking access to amazing shops and restaurants at your doorstep and morning walks in the neighborhoods along with carriage rides make you feel like your part of the Charleston community! The inn was beautiful and in an absolutely prime location in downtown Charleston. Upon arrival, the innkeeper and staff greeted us with true Southern hospitality and were a wealth of information on the history, food and attractions of the area. They were all lovely to work with for the duration of our stay, made us feel welcome and taken care of. We had five in our party, and booked two rooms on the third floor. The master suite adjoined the other via a small hallway, giving us the feeling of our own private wing. Both rooms were beautiful, with high ceilings and a lovely vintage esthetic. There were french doors that opened to a Juliet balcony, which offered a nice morning/evening breeze and a visual into the courtyard below. Both rooms held their own bathroom with shower. There was plenty of storage for our clothing and a tv in each room. This Inn is right on King street, so EVERYTHING is just outside the door and highly walkable. Within 20 minutes of the stoop, you'll find amazing restaurants, all manner of shopping experiences and fantastic history. Charleston harbor is blocks away and from there you can see the Ravenel Bridge, the USS Yorktown, Fort Sumter National Monument, dolphins jumping and the iconic Pineapple Fountain, to name a few. The Inn and its surroundings seemed very safe. We had no worries about our teen daughters heading out on foot to have their own adventures and dining choices, even after dark. There seemed to always be other good natured people around along with a horse and buggy nearby telling passengers historic tales. Highly recommend Kings Courtyard Inn.
