Loyd Hall Plantation

If you are interested in the history of Louisiana and its plantation life, Lloyd Plantation is well worth a visit. It stands out as a grand structure among fields of sugarcane. As with any historical site, it isn't in pristine condition but it is comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and speaking with those serving it.

It was amazing! Like a step back in time yet modern up to date comfort.

We came in late and the place was nicely lit. We stayed in the Camellia and it was nice and clean. It faced toward the pool area and had a porch. The breakfast was good on the back glass window porch of the main house facing the pool. It was a peaceful stay! We will be back!

We found the plantation when I was looking for places to stay near Alexandria for work. I brought my little dog with me so I needed a place that is pet friendly. We were so excited to find Loyd Hall plantation. We were the only ones staying there that night. It was a very nice experience. We are planning a return trip for longer. Ms Beulah took the time to show us around the big house. She told us so many stories and facts about the house and furniture. And about the ghost stories! She was truly amazing.

We were at the Loyd Plantation for a 50th anniversary celebration. The cottage was perfect for us, comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Ms. Beulah was attentive to our needs and her knowledge of the Plantations history was very impressive. And her breakfast was delicious! The venue was beautifully decorated both inside and outside. Would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a country setting with all the amenities.

We chose Loyd Hall Plantation Bed and Breakfast for our 50th anniversary event since it is centrally located in Louisiana and family could come and go if they wished or stay in the cottages. Also, our family have had other events there and it was always wonderful. It did not disappoint. We had the indoor facility and the outdoor pavillion to set up tables for the event. Plenty of room for the DJ/Karaoke guy. The pool was a really nice addition after a long hot day. My friends and family who attended were so impressed with the place and all said how very peaceful and beautiful it was. I could not have asked for a better accommodation for our event. They had everything we needed, including an ice machine. My guests loved eating breakfast in the big house all together. Mrs. Beulah is a timeless treasure in this place and was so helpful for any needs we had. So, I definitely give it a 5-star review.

We stayed with our 3 dogs overnight in the Commissary. It was perfect for us. Plenty of room, close to the pool and very quiet and secluded. It’s a definite stop when we travel in this direction again. The grounds were lovely and Loyd Hall is a beautiful home. We were cooked a delicious breakfast the next morning by Mindy. She’s awesome. Very friendly and fun to talk to. All around this is a great place to stay. We will be back.

The place is awesome. So peaceful and quite. Ms Beula was a wealth of knowledge about the place and her cooking was great. Ms Felicia was very helpful and friendly. we will be going back for sure. Make sure you take the tour that is given. we stayed in the Commisary and the Jenkins

I loved the property and the people! My son and his family live near Loyd Hall, so it made sense to try it. Peaceful and beautiful. I stayed in the Commissary cottage. I have two small dogs who were welcomed. Plenty of area to walk them. I now live in Houston and had forgotten how quiet and peaceful the country can be.
