Loved the delicious breakfast prepared by Ms Beulah and our morning conversations! She is very knowledgeable in the history of the house and does a wonderful home tour.

"Awesome Experience"

10.0

What a wonderful experience for my Canadian family. They all loved the experience of a spectacular plantation home surrounded by beautiful farm land and the bayou across the road. The highlight was meeting Ms. Beulah who is the innkeeper and most special host. Her breakfast and tour were both unforgettable. We only wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back.

"Going Back in Time"

10.0

We stayed here for a family reunion nearby. It's like walking into a time warp. Things are calm, serene, and slow. Just what you need in a getaway (although they DO have Wi-Fi!). There are a few things that were initially mildly annoying, like a hair in the sink when we arrived, the fact the pool was too hot, or the room wasn't cool enough when we initially arrived. However, I felt guilty I had even mentioned anything out loud after we met Beulah. She is a gem of a human being, treated us like family, and gave us a tour and history of the Plantation after breakfast the first morning we were there. We had a great stay with family, and the only things I remembered after our stay were priceless memories. By the way, don't forget bug spray if you plan to spend time outside, Louisiana mosquitos are no joke!

"My stay at Loyd Hall 7/04-7/07, 2024"

10.0

The surroundings are serene and beautiful. Breakfast was the best. 👏🏽My room accommodations were great except for glitches with the TV not working properly. I'm sure they will have the problem fixed when I return. I will definitely book another stay there upon my return to Lecompte, Louisiana. ❤️

"19th century charmer"

10.0

We've been going to this lovely place for over 12 years. It is a timeless gem with a ton of history and the sweetest innkeeper you've ever met. Beulah is the innkeeper, cook, and we consider her family. The whole property is breathtaking, private, and feels like you've stepped into the 19th century. If you're looking for some ghost action, stay in the Fitzgerald suite, Magnolia suite or Camelia suite. This is literally my favorite place to visit in the United States. You are close to everything Louisiana has to offer and be sure to visit during crawfish season for the best eats around. Book this place now!!!!!!!!

"Great family experience!"

10.0

This is an amazingly beautiful property. We stayed in the McCullough House. It has 2 rooms which was perfect for my Mama, 2 daughters and I. It is spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. It does have a bit of a musty smell which is to be expected in a property if that age. We loved the porch swing and rocking chairs. We also enjoyed exploring the property. Breakfast was wonderful. After breakfast Ms. Beulah gave us a private tour of the main house. We loved learning the colorful history of the plantation. The upstairs guest suites are gorgeous! I would love to return with my husband and stay in the main house. I would definitely return to the McCullough House as well. Great experience.

Spending our night all alone at a Plantation was amazing. We felt very safe and secure in our own 1800's mansion. We enjoyed a glass of wine one the second floor porch in rocking chairs watching the sun set over the farm fields. The ladies made a delicious breakfast and provided a history of the property.
