It was a nice quiet, clean, ideal for walks & lovely scenery, small village place to stay. A little confusion with booking was very quickly & warmly resolved. Stayed 1st night here then did a night in Kirkcudbright next after walking there & back from this property. Passed a lot of cows on our walk & the saying is very true "nosey cows" made us lol......

"I really enjoyed my stay, would stay there again."

Breakfast was really good, I didn’t like the Coffee, tasted like instant, and not very nice, Accomodation was nice, comfy beds, Staff were really nice in the Hotel.

"Not informed part of accommodation closed Pub Mon-Fri"

Easy check in and room was ok

Only place to get food & drink in village, sent opening times for food/drink in pub attached to accommodation but on arrival in welcome pack pub not open Mon-Fri so nowhere to get anything to eat or drink. Choice of cereals, fruit etc but cooked breakfast was poor could not cut bacon, poached eggs were solid, square sausage/toast was ok. Never normally leave poor reviews but when you arrive somewhere and there’s no food to buy and rest of accommodation is not open it’s not great and not told about it in advance.

"Poor value for money."

There was no breakfast or way to contact staff to ask why. Main hotel wad closed. No contact with any staff.

Room wad tired and in poor conditions. Things could gave cleaner.
