Red Jacket Beach Resort

I didn’t even stay here and was already turned off just by calling them. I was asking if they had pet rooms available and got attitude from the call center rep. She answered my question on availability and just hung up on me. Glad I called and got a glimpse of their customer service level before booking a room. I’ll go elsewhere that values customers.

What used to be a reliable, go‑to family vacation spot has unfortunately turned into an overpriced motel at best. Many of the things that originally drew us to the Red Jacket have been quietly reduced or completely removed since the transition to new ownership, including the morning kids’ club, which my daughter loved, and much of the evening entertainment. Instead of paying for resort amenities that enhance the experience, we now find ourselves paying for towel cards, subpar beach and pool service (these areas are not consistently staffed throughout the day), automatic gratuity added to every purchase (which I wasn’t aware of until halfway through our stay), overpriced food and drinks, and no guaranteed parking, even though a parking fee is still charged. The only positives are the pool, the walking distance to the beach, and the fact that the renovated double rooms now feel more spacious and less cramped. Otherwise, it’s no longer worth it to us.

Perfect location! The beach, pools, spa, restaurant are all right there. And the servers come right to your chair to make sure that you have any food, drinks or umbrellas that you want. Great place!! we will be back

We had everything that we could have wanted. I wouldn't change a thing.

It was absolutely beautiful. Everybody was so kind. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year. The kids love the fishing dock by the waterway. It was clean and the updates are beautiful
