Stay at Mare

Great location: two blocks from a very nice beach, blocks from bars and restaurants, and half a block from a coffee shop. Great bed. Good shower. At all times there were cold water bottles in the communal fridge for us to take.

As advertised, there is no front desk or staff on hand. If that is important to your hotel experience, you won't like this place. I wasn't sure how to get new towels, and I had to make sure to request a clothes iron beforehand. Also, if you rent a car, you will find street parking to be difficult.

Very hard to contact anyone at Stay At Mare, tried calling the Puerto Rico phone, and also the US phone and got no reply, which difficulted our check-in, check-out, and additional requests

Located very close to the beach & places to eat

The lady that supplied access to the property was rude! Called for early entrance & she was not accommodating the door access was tricky when we called for help she was extra rude

Loved the entire stay and it was close to everything we needed

Night 1 out of 3 was great. Location is exceptional. That's about it.

We had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel due to a prolonged power outage. Despite multiple calls to Booking.com, the situation remained unresolved, highlighting both the hotel's and Booking's lack of care and support. The hotel made no effort whatsoever to communicate or proactively address the issue apart from a few low effort text messages. The room was unbearably hot, making sleep impossible, and I developed headaches within minutes of being in the room. The outage lasted for over 24 hours, with the first night being a complete disaster. While the street regained power the next day, this hotel did not. We were patient, but after not hearing back and only after us following up multiple times, the maintenance staff only hinted at the possibility of electricity being restored, pushing back the timeline multiple times. We eventually had to switch accommodations, and although the power was finally restored late at 10 PM on our last night, the hotel blamed us for wanting a refund for the unusable room. This experience left a bad taste in our mouths and made it clear that the hotel did not care about us. BE AWARE THAT IN CASE OF AN OUTAGE, YOU ARE LEFT HANGING. THE HOTEL TAKES NO ACCOUNTABILITY AND MAKES NO EFFORT TO MAKE THE SITUATION ACCEPTABLE. THEY COULD HAVE PROVIDED FANS OR OTHER AMENITIES, BUT THEY DID NOTHING.

Everything was amazing

The design of the property, the minimalist and spacious style of the rooms, equipped with everything you need for a weekend stay. The A/C was working perfectly. The location is accessible and close to a very nice cafeteria, a grocery store and the beach. You can park on the streets a block away from the property.

A rack to dry Beach towels and swimwear would be handy for guests.

The location is close to many activities. The pool is excellent, with warm water. The property is surrounded by nice places, including a coffee shop, convenience store, and casinos.
