Stay at Mare

Good location.

There are no blinds for the door, so as soon as the sun comes up, you will wake up. The doors are incredibly difficult to lock. Thankfully we found extra towels, but there was no communication about where to find them and no fresh towels were given. Check out was at 11, but a man came and just opened my door without knocking multiple times between 10 and 11. The water pressure was awful and the shower handle kept falling off. The beds were incredibly loud.

I booked through Expedia, but upon arrival, I discovered there was no reception by the building or entrance. As I hadn't received a code to access the gate, I had to call the hotel for assistance. The employee I spoke with instructed me to create a user account on Expedia to obtain the code, even though I hadn't received any code initially. Despite attempting to call back seven times, I had no luck reaching them. Suddenly, I received another call apologizing for not receiving my billing information from Expedia. To proceed, they requested that I email a picture of my credit card. It's important to note that it's not advisable to send credit card information via email. As a result, they eventually canceled my reservation. Ironically, the only positive outcome was that I had to find another hotel at 6 pm.

The location was very good. The property is easy to access, being gated and secured made us feel very safe and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

In the room we stayed at, the only thing I feel could have been better is that the bed frame was extremely squeaky/loud/ and made so much noise getting in and out of bed or even tossing at night. I think the frame is loose and needs to be tightened.

It has a great location, near the beach, and has good restaurants. The check-in and check-out process was smooth.

We were in a room with high humidity, which was not a good experience.

For starters this is not your average hotel, more like a motel room. minus a fridge or microwave. Just white cement walls that felt like a box. There are no amenities other than that pool that I never seen anyone inside of, so I stayed away. Hair was everywhere, bathroom, sheets. You can’t hide much using white sheets The AC remote was a universal remote and not connected to the ac. We had to program it from codes we looked up. It’s in the 80s in PR. So an ac set on 80 was not going to work, I’m glad we even figure out what was going on with the air. The shower is more like a very low pressure sprinkler. The best part of this place is that it’s close to everything. I have no idea why they installed these door knobs on these doors, that felt like a whole maze to use. The email said it was European, idk I’ve been to London and never seen such a difficult knob. Overall We made the best of it, it’s amazing what you can get use to.

The room and the building looks great, very beautiful minimalistic interior design. Very well located to go to restaurants and the beach.

The room was smelling like mold (also the air coming from the AC) and was really hard to ventilate - we would keep the door open to get fresh air, when in the room - but the door kept getting closed by the other guests or the cleaning staff as it was in their way to pass by. Having people passing our room all the time did not give us any privacy. Staff was very loud in the morning - yelling a lot. The 2 of us were staying in a room for 4 people. The room had no drawers and only 7 hangers to hang up shirts or dresses. If you like a minimalistic design, you would also like to keep the room tidy, which was not possible. It is probably better to get a room upstairs.

The access to the beach was literally less than 4 minute walk! There were lots of restaurants nearby to grab food too.

The water pressure in the shower was not great and and the water was not super hot.

This is a small hotel that does the work without breaking the bank. The beach is 5 minutes away. There are a lot of restaurants , cafes and one big supermarket close by. We had room # 33 which has a large shared balcony up in the front. Overall nice stay

The small hallway that leads to room is shared by 3 other rooms . You can hear Everything. The maid was talking outside our room on her phone for 30 min at 7 am . That was annoying . Door slams from neighbours wake you up at anytime . Our main issue was really the noise.
