"Fantastic stay!"

We spent 5 days over spring break at this resort with our 2 kids (6,8). We had a fantastic time and without a doubt this resort is on our list to return to. We had a club level room which was worth EVERY PENNY! The club lounge was fantastic and it made our stay essentially an all inclusive. They had 4 meals a day and other than the one night we went to the hotels Italian restaurant, my husband and I ate every meal there. Each day they had a kid friendly option and it made it easier for my picky kids. They also had grab and go cookies, goldfish and chips which everyone loved. We did stand up paddle boarding and used the kayaks, which was nice. My kids loved the family pool with the slide also! The room was clean and the balcony was large. The loungers and seating on the balcony was perfect for playing games at night as a family. Every person we came in contact with had a warm smile and was so friendly and helpful. The staff in the club lounge went above and beyond to help and always made my kids feel welcome. I would without a doubt recommend this resort to anyone going to St Thomas.

"10/10 Service and an Outstanding Team"

This is a delayed review, but I still wanted to take the time to properly recognize the outstanding team at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas after such a wonderful stay. The entire team was professional, warm, and genuinely attentive. From the moment I arrived, the front desk associates, Kimora and Jolisa, made check-in feel easy, relaxed, and very welcoming. Both were friendly, warm, and gracious, and they immediately set the tone for the stay. That kind of first impression matters, and they handled it beautifully. I also want to give special recognition to the Guest Experience team, especially Adriana, as well as Manager Joe. They were true professionals who clearly cared about the guest experience and went above and beyond throughout the stay. Despite what I know must have been a busy workload, they took the time to personally assist when needed, and that level of care really stood out. It is not something you forget. The one-bedroom suite felt very new and well designed, with a separate living room and bedroom that made the stay especially comfortable and relaxing. The panoramic view of the bay was incredible and truly drew you in. It was the kind of view that immediately makes you slow down and appreciate where you are. Overall, it was a wonderful and very relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and wanted to sincerely thank the team for going above and beyond. I cannot wait to return.

The beach was stunning

It was very dated and very expensive for what it was. Staff in the club loumge were excellent but outside of the Lounge very unfriendly aside frim a couple id guys driving the golf carts.

The food was genuinely good—flavorful, well-prepared, and easily the only consistently redeeming aspect of the entire stay. Everything else= a big $$$$ disappointment. Service was not just slow—it was borderline absurd. I requested shampoo three separate times over the course of two and a half hours before it finally arrived. For a property operating under the The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas name, and charging what it does, that level of inefficiency is simply unacceptable. The resort’s layout only compounds the frustration. Distances aren’t just inconvenient; they’re excessive and poorly thought out. Unless you’re in a prime location, you’re effectively stranded, dependent on long golf cart rides to get anywhere. I stayed in Building E—considered one of the better locations for beach and pool access—yet the restaurants were so far and the wait times so consistently unreasonable that I avoided them altogether. That alone speaks volumes. Now for the bigger issue. Do not come to the U.S. Virgin Islands expecting a true luxury experience. It simply doesn’t deliver. Compared to other Caribbean destinations, this location falls dramatically short while somehow costing significantly more. If you’re looking for beauty, infrastructure, and service that justify the price, there are far superior options elsewhere. The difference isn’t subtle.....it’s striking. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! This property is, at best, average. It lacks the polish, consistency, and elevated experience the brand is meant to represent, yet the pricing is wildly inflated, creating a glaring disconnect between expectation and reality. Step outside the resort, and the shortcomings become even more apparent. Infrastructure feels unreliable, the surroundings lack cohesion and cleanliness, and basic services are limited. The terrain is steep and impractical, making simple movement feel like a chore rather than part of a relaxing vacation. What’s marketed as a tropical escape feels, in reality, neglected and overhyped. The uncomfortable truth is this: this resort feels like the only marginally acceptable option...not because it excels, but because alternatives appear worse. That’s not a selling point. Choose another island. If you’re spending this kind of money, there are far better places to go. This isn’t luxury......it’s compromise dressed up with a premium price tag.

"Don’t WASTE YOUR MONEY"

Oh my goodness..please do not waste your time or money on this resort! My husband and I booked an Ocean Front King on the club level I can honestly say our view was amazing which is to be expected with any Ocean Front room, but that was the only amazing experience. We had multiple bugs in our room, woke up with several bites daily, had a roach crawl from behind the mini fridge, saw a spider crawl from behind the bed board don’t you know I had a difficult time trying to sleep thinking about that spider crawling back. Avoid this Hotel. We were given a “case number” only to have never received an email or phone call back as previously promised.Oh by the way our room for 7 nights was close to $16K and we left completely disappointed.

This is the nicest hotel on the island. It's not worth anywhere near what they charge. Find Jio from valet. He's the best employee.

"Hotel trip"

Lovely experience. Hotel rooms are stunning and clean while the food is delectable. The resort includes many pools and activities. Yet most of the staff are hostile or snarky.
