Rude, dirty

We got to our room and the room was hot and stuffy. I checked the a/c unit out and it was not working. I went to the desk and told them, and was told they would get someone to look at it. I went back to the room to wait and looked around a little more. In the fridge was open bottle of wine, and a half eaten sandwich. We waited a half hour an no one arrived to repair the a/c unit so we went back to the dask to get a different room. On the way back to the desk we noticed the pool was shut down and it looked like it was being rebuilt. The desk did accommodate us with a new room. This room was not much better, but al least the air conditioning system was working. I open the fridge to make sure it was cleaned and found the freezer had not been defrosted in so long that the ice had built up so much that you could not even put an ice pack in there. I went to get ice down the hall and the ice machine and the other vending machines had been removed for remodeling. No signs were posted. So I went to the third floor and found the same thing. The oly place where there was any ice or vending machines was on the first floor In the morning while brushing my teeth the sink backed up and did not drain the whole time I was showering.

I knew as soon as I pulled into the parking lot this was going to be a disappointing experience. The weeds in the lawn and landscape beds were knee high. Upon check-in I discovered the pool was undergoing renovation. This information should have been provided before I reserved a room. Upon entering the room I found someone's dirty sock lying beside a bed. The bathroom lights did not work. The TV/Cable were disconnected. The showerhead/water pipe connection was loose and sprayed water in the air. There was a long black hair lying in the sink. There were what appeared to be paint splatters all over the entrance doorframe. The staff spoke little and at check-out the desk clerk did not ask if I was pleased with my stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I will not return and will warn other about the conditions I encountered.

Pool was out of service for construction which was frustrating since it was a main reason we booked this hotel. With 2 young children we were looking for a pool, we could use the YMCA which we did but was inconvenient having small children and having to load them up and such just to swim. Everything in our room was unplugged, lights, TV, ect so we had to go around and plug everything in. The microwave and coffee pot were very very dusty and and our room hadn't been vacuumed, little scraps laying all over. Not what I expected from a comfort inn, we normally love them.

Nice king size suite room, but it had recently been smoked in. Ice maker did not work.

After checking in, we were disappointed to find a room (on the first floor) in which the couch was stained, the table had chips off of all corners, the lighting was poor, the bathroom floor showed signed of not having been cleaned very well, and the general feeling was "dank." To her credit, the woman at the desk pleasantly gave us a new room (on the second floor) when I asked if they had any rooms that were less beat up. This was somewhat better, but we noticed that there was popcorn on the floor near a bed from a previous resident that did not disappear even after another supposed cleaning. On the Sunday we were there, there was no cleaning at all for any occupied guest room, because they were short(er) staffed. The pool and hot tub (which we had been looking forward to) were out of order. In the breakfast area, fingerprints and smudges on many surfaces gave the impression of poor cleaning. The breakfast the first day was a little below average for this sort o f thing, and the juice dispenser was not working. For some reason, breakfast went down hill, and by our last day there, they were out of eggs, yogurt, coffee creamers, and other things. In addition, the key card system did not seem to work well, at least for us. We repeatedly had to go to the main desk to get new key cards, because the ones we had failed to work. The elevator did not smell good. We booked the rooms despite high rates because we expected a Comfort Suites, which this place is not.

The pool was closed when I checked in on Friday. After talking to the clerk it has been closed for months. There was no mention of this on the website when I booked it. If there had been I would not have booked this hotel. With kids a pool is a must. So after asking the front desk if I could cancel the room he said no because I had booked with Expedia. I called Expedia customer service and they said that they would check on it and get back to me within an hour. No call back. The day after I get home I get an email from Expedia telling me there is nothing they can do. The next night I go to fill my ice bucket and the whole hotel has only 1 working Ice machine, EMPTY!!! At 9:30 pm after getting back from the soccer field I go into my room to find it had not been cleaned. So back down to the front desk, the guy told me that the do not disturb sign was on the door, I told him that would be a neat trick because there was no sign on the inside of the door to put out.. Terrible customer service from the hotel and Expedia!

Pool was under renovations- sounds like for a couple years and no one was make aware prior to booking. Found out from another guest that if you take room card to YMCA, you can swim there, but pool closes at 430pm in weekends. Many rooms don’t have locks. Couches in room were covered in stains. Garbages in lobby overflowed all day following breakfast. Ice machine/vending room on second floor is just plaster walls- halls and elevator smell terrible.

Never again! First of all, we were not notified of the pool renovation closure prior to booking and still had to pay full price. The hotel was dirty. Understaffed. Staff didn’t wear uniforms and were rude. The made up rules as they went. Not worth the money or the headache.

We didn't check in until 10pm. Upon entering the room, it was obvious it had never been cleaned from the prior guests. Went back to the front desk, she apologized and moved us to another room. At the door of the new room, our keys didn't work. Back to the front desk. Got new keys. Upon entering the room, it was in fact cleaner ( except for a bit of hair in the shower ) but it had only one bed when we requested 2 double beds ( as the original room had ). So we made due with my son sleeping on the pullout sofa.
