Hotel Puerto Mexico

No No and No. This is not an appropriate place for a single woman to stay with or without children.

The hotel is close to the airport although google maps made it difficult to get to. It would have been great to have been told that the skybridge connection was next door! They had no idea that i had a booking via Wotif and had to show them my confirmation email.

High price for smelly room with no working plumbing and a door that did not lock

I stayed here because it was cheap and super close to the airport. Hotels.com listed a private bath in the room’s amenities, but it was an extra charge when I tried to check in. Added $20, so keep that in mind. Nothing great to say about the room, but it was cheap so I didn’t expect much. It’s a $3 Uber ride to the airport. If guests are loud in the hall, you’ll hear it, so take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Altough staff was very friendly and helpful, the room matches the price: you get what you pay for. They have rooms with and without bathrooms. We got one with (had to pay extra because I missed that when booking). Room and bathroom in general were clean. Toilet was kinda wonky. There was a sliding window, with absolutely no way to secure it that lead to an interior staircase, and we had people walking uo and down all night. Scary. We propoed it as good as we could. No A/C, just a fan. One of the 3 pillows had some dubios stains on it, altough the other 2 were clean and nice. For someone trying to stay just a night and with low expectations (and budget) this might be fine. I will need to do better research next time.

It was walkable to the airport, and reasonably priced which is why we chose to stay there. Staff welcomed us when we arrived and showed us to our room. The place is under renovations, which didnt bother us.

The bed was so bad (soft and strange shape) that I slept on the floor. The music didn't stop until 4. This hotel is abysmal. I travel rough and I haven't seen worse in Mexico.

It was a safe spot for a quick sleep on an overnight layover. No frills but friendly!
