Very nice hotel

Superb in every way from the friendly & knowledgeable concierge to the cleaning staff. Breakfast was AMAZING! Excellent views from the roof top. Location also w/in easy walking of so many of Madrid's highlights.

El RIU como siempre no decepciona , el servicio es excelente desde el momento que se entra al hotel , las habitaciones son cómodas y limpias , el desayuno es espectacular Mi opción siempre que estoy en Madrid

The roof top is a circus. Everyone could go and it’s absolutely chaotic. The swimming pool is very small and crowded. I guess you can’t expect anything else from such a massive hotel. That will my last stay.

Me encanto la experiencia, desde la entrada el service es excellent. Mi cuarto tenia vistas a plaza España muy linda y el cuerto era comodo y moderno. El desayuno estaba incluido y fue muy bueno tambien.

No pudimos hospedarnos , nos trataron muy mal , llegué con mi perro de servicio y toda su documentación exigida , nos discriminaron y hasta nos dijeron que si no abandonábamos el lugar nos iban a llamar a la policía , ustedes en las políticas del hotel dicen que aceptan perros de servicio. Mi perro cuenta 100 % con su documentación. Por algo pudimos entrar al país . Pero como se llevaba acabo una feria en la cuidad y estaba una alta demanda hicieron todo para sacarnos del hotel . Mi peor experiencia y discriminación por parte de todo el personal hacia nosotros. Luego me dijeron que ya ellos se habían comunicado con ustedes y les habían echo reembolso . Fue horrible la verdad . MI PEOR EXPERIENCIA DE TANTOS AÑOS DE VIAJE CON USTEDES .

Was perfect

This was one of the best hotels we have ever experienced. No negatives. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious, with an excellent view. The bed was comfortable. Good A/C. Plenty of storage space. The website allows you to pick your room ahead of time and check in early. There is a taxi stand right around the corner. The location is excellent on the Grand Via with metro nearby and a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and historic sites like the Royal Palace. The rooftop bar is always lively with good food and drinks and a tremendous view at sunset and hotel guests get to cut the line for seats. The buffet breakfast is spectacular, with plenty to choose from including champagne. And the price for all of this is quite reasonable, especially if you join the hotel's membership group. I had questions before our arrival, and the staff was always helpful with timely and informative responses. We would definitely stay here again, and will look for other RIU properties on our future travels.

Property was very nice. Near lots to do and see in Madrid. The breakfast was very good.
